Did 381/404 on my old setup.

mods are:
2001 LS6 engine w/ stock 241 heads
crane gold 1.8's
Ls6 intake
SLP lid
Pacesetter LT's and ORY
Magnaflow exhuast
Tuned by owen at ARD
6-speed and moser 9in.

Car did 376/388 with a excessivley lean tune By chuck at HPE prior to Owen adding more fuel.

Was a freak on the street! Torque curve looked like a heartattack's flatline and idle'd like stock!
Made alot of camm'd ls1's and stroked fox body's scratch their heads on the street with that setup..
Got dyno sheets and racing vids to back it up.

old thread but what the hell...

who cares about dyno numbers? you cant compare one dyno to another. The only way i would use a dyno number is using the same dyno for before and after mods. But at the end of the day the end number still doesnt mean squat, just the change after the mods...

someone who says they have 370+ horsepower at the wheels and that its a accurate (ego inflating dyno) number are kidding themselves on a bolt on car.

nope im referring to everyone in this thread that claimed 370+ rwhp for a stock internal ls1, no one specific....

But to the guy your referring he has 241 heads and a ls6 block, but that doesnt mean LS6 cam. An ls6 engine doesnt come with stock 241 heads. Some lucky few did get the blocks, but that only means the block has bay to bay breathing. Now if he put a ls6 shortblock in there thats different because he would have the LS6 camshaft, but thats not a ls1 anymore. BTW why did he say it idled like stock when it "was" stock? lol just curious.

370 for a real LS6 wouldn't be hard. i believe any number that high on a bolt on ls1 is just a happy dyno, or uncorrected #'s with some crazy good air.

I wouldn't quite say 370 is impossible for a stock internal ls1 car. My 98 motor made 34x/35x on 3 different dyno's. A mustang, DJ and dynamics. This is with me having only a slp lid, slp cat-back and untuned. Surely 30+hp could be picked up through various bolt-ons. My car went straight from being a lid, cat-back car straight to being a cam, bolt-on car, so I never got to see how it did after the TB, LT's, Maf tune, intake, and free mods.

If the LSX Intakes are any good I might make more.

The car is also still on the stock tuning, and I have a descreened stock maf.
EXACT same #s with slightly different mods. Were I in Texas again, I would challenge you to the drag strip
