I have had both on a 402ci. neither intake was ported. The vic jr lost 30lbs of tq down low and 10 on the peak. i gained 10hp up top at a higher rpm. I have a friend we always test out new mods by doing a roll race from 70mph to 130mph. With the fast i could pull him by a touch. when i went to the vic jr i lost so much tq he pulled me by 1.5 cars. I went back to a fast intake set up.

The Cam has to be spec'd for a carb style intake. On my 427ci the fast made 20hp20tq more from 2k-4k. Then by 6k my SV made 30hp/25tq more than the FAST 102mm.At 7000rpm the SV made 45hp/35tq more than the FAST. This was for a stalled auto car,so the SV was a better choice.

how much would heat soak come into play for hot lap runs or running on the street all the time?
