28's are usually good to 450-460 before they start sucking dry (most of the time). I actually wasn't there for this dyno session. The customer went and did it on his own so I'm not sure what the injector DC was. We've got SVO 36's on it now.

hell of a jump in power, especially considering he already had stock 243s, based on your info.

Impressive!

professional CNC'd 243s need a lil more love around here, lol.

Yep.

On a 5.7-6.0L size motor, a properly CNC'd 243 will go head to head with ANY other head on the market. And it doesn't need $400 rockers either.

I think most companies now offer powdered metal guides for aftermarket heads...around 75-100 extra though...

definitely an excellent bang for the buck 243s with a good cnc job...

also Damian I was wrong my injector duty cycle is 82% with 522rwhp now and 38lbers...

I was gonna say. You shouldn't have been drying them up that quick. I run the SVO 36's on anything in the 460-550rwhp range and have no issues with injector DC.

I'm also a fan of AI. Preditorz advised me to go this route instead of buying new heads. Great advise ! Great bang for your buck! Got me to 430 with a mild cam!

GREAT WORK JOSH!!!!! I'm working on something ATM and hopefully we'll hook up THIS YEAR!!! For those in the fence about AI, I spoke with Phil and although he can make more money selling some of their aftermarket offerings he STILL suggests going with their new ported 243's over aftermarket, not only will they perform just as good if not better than an aftermarket casting, they'll also save you some coin for other mods....

Great numbers!

So many people act like it's hard to make power, but it really isn't. A simple phone call or website purchase from Ai and anyone can make big power. Using quality parts and attention to detail is key.

I would (and do) recommend Ai to everyone.

I am very interested in these... I will ask only out of curiosity... Does the 226cc runner hurt low-end power and throttle response???

Glad to see someone repping such great companies. But 2 words that weren't mentioned by anyone other then the OP...............Cam Motion. Obviously that cam and A.I. heads make for a damn good combo.

FYI, I spoke to Phil early in the week last week and they were out of the shop. I've got 3 more sets headed to A.I. in the next 2 weeks.

Exactly. Cam Motion doctors EVERY camshaft it ships, so when you get the cam card that is EXACTLY what the cam is. A nice little perk for the person building the engine. Can't say the same for Comp and their generic specs/cam card print outs. Most of their cams are 2-5 degrees off of what the card says.

Are you talking about this particular set? Or are there any other results on other engines with these heads?
