the valves were really nice, my exhaust valves 1.575 are now heavier than my intakes...If i were to get TFS heads or anything with a 2.04" valve and larger these are a no brainer...almost the weight of Ti and 1/4 the cost...
mine will see most likely 7300ish...i have a shift extension of 1300 and 1200

Chris, if you don't get 9's now you need to donate that motor to my Ram.. and go LS7, i'm sure somehow you would push 800rwhp out of a 7.0 n/a..haha.
got a day planned for the track?

The cam that was in the car was a Futral Grind spec'd for a friends 383. When he upgraded to a 408 and a cam by Geoff, I got his old 383 cam and threw it in my Nova since it was a lot lighter and a Race car. That was a 239/243 .612/.612 112lsa+2. The car ran faster the higher i shifted it even with the old.6.0 truck intake.
The cam Geoff spec'd me is a 238/250 .603/.596 110lsa+4. THis should put me shifting at 7000 now instead of having to rev so high. I was running old stock lifters and bought a new set of ls7 lifters. as it was spur of the moment finding out they were bad.
Motor is in the car now but I have to finish putting intake, headers , water pump etc on and getting it running. Will dyno it sometime maybe next week or atleast run it at the track next week if weather permits.
Old cam went 10.24@128 with a 1.42 60 ft. Pulled the plugs and were coated with oil since the rings never seated the first go around. If the rings seat properly this go around it should have quite a bit more cyl psi. 9's or bust

If this set up dont put me in the 9's then I will be trying my ported fast 90 thats on my trans am and maybe buying a Pro flow intake for The Nova to try. Hood clearence is not a conern on the Nova

Holly crap lol. So are you running a stock ls1 or a ls2??? Because geoff spaced me that same cam but a 238/ 608 252/596 on a 111+3 for my ls1 setup with the same goals in mind nines

yeah if i do a 347 over winter i will bump the compression with lightweight slugs, e85, let it spin it the moon with a larger cam, go solid roller, and light tension rings with a well balanced setup)...we will see though, i am getting ahead of myself...hahaha
pretty good setup though on the 5.3 heads...60ft could use some work...you should get 9s in just the 60ft alone...
I need to get a 2500lb fox roller and see what this thing can really do haha

My other cam was all wrong for my engine, this cam was built with 60 ft in mind as it will build a lot more cyl pressure.
With the other cam, I could have ran it on 87 octane if I wanted with 11.64/1 compression
Yes it was 2600 with me in it last time I scaled it. That was 30 lbs ago on my own body weight.
