Default tsp 228r & patriot 5.3s a4 results!!!

finally got the car on the dyno mods are 228r cam 112lsa patriot 5.3s lts tds slp pulley a/c p/s delete 3.73s ss3600 still on stock bottom end stock ls1 intake and injectors

car was tuned by jeremy at horse power sales pompano fl made locked converter
rwhp 393
rwtq 424

on there awd mustang dyno the motor flatend out at 5100rpm im guessing its the ls1 intake and also needs injectors there at 108%

but it has a nice flat torque curve im very happy with it.

what do you guys think??? hopefully breaks 4**s with the ls6 and injectors

want to say thanks to jeremy and the guys at hpsales pompano great guys

Torque is high...weird numbers something seems up since you made so much more torque than hp..usually it's the other way around

You got something wrong, you can see on the dyno sheet that your power dies out around 4.9k to 5k rpm's.

What valve springs are you running with your setup? This does not ALWAYS happen, but SOMETIMES does - my buddies car was valve floating after 5500 RPMs, and the check engine light would flicker, and had a random cylinder misfire code due to the valve float. He only had high lift rockers so the misfire code was NOT from having a big cam, or something of the sort.

the springs are the patriot golds that came with the heads when i bought them from patriot

it just seems weird to me of how much torque it made yet the hp falls off could it be the stock ls1 intake or injectors but if it is it still wont explain the torque being so high or is this a regular number people get with my set up? im a little confused

Doubt it's the intake - I've had a LS1 intake car and it pulled hard well past 5000 rpms - I'd take it to a true Tuner and not a guy who just works a Dyno - I know you said it was "tuned" but any tuner who walks away okay with a car doing that probably doesn't do much work on LS1's.

In all honesty... u just answered your own question.. Tuner said injectors were at 108% duty cycle.. Id start there. Grab an ls6 and a new set of injectors. Im assuming you have the right length push rods as well.

so could it be the tune it self? i took it to horse power sales in pompano beach fl because they are known for working and building lsx sick vetts paid 500 bucks for the tune what would have to be wrong with the tune to do something like this ?? i need some advice because i really dont have any more cash to get another tune.

Not saying he can't tune, just that if he saw that and didn't tell you what you needed to do to correct the issue, or even point out that there was an issue, I'd have been a bit upset.

I took mine to a LSx guy this week just to see if it was still making the same power it was 3 years ago, right after the first run he pointed out an obvious issue, and once he had it plugged in, found 4 or 5 more issues. He corrected them all the right way instead of trying to band-aid his way through things.

I don't know Jeremy or Horse Power Sales, just offering my opinion from a 3rd party perspective. If he said the injectors were at 108% and you needed to upgrade them and said that was why it was cutting out at 5,000 rpms, then that was probably the answer you should have gone with.

I understand money can be tight... but based off your torque curve, u should be making atleast 20whp more and reving another 4-500 rpm. Find injectors first, measure ur push rod length to make sure its the right length, and for the hell of it, find an ls6 intake. Should get u to 430whp.
