Default dyno'd my turbo car tonight finally! 564hp 500 tq

Im not sure if i should be happy with this power or not, but it seems strong. And it feels like a monster on the street..

we only spinned it up to 6500 once and it was steady pullin up..
sorry i dont have a print out too, i always forget
heres the build list.

99 firebird (2900 lbs)
stock ls2
317 heads ported
custom cam 232 236 .6xx .6xx 114
tc 78 1.15
th 350
3500 stall
9 inch
slicks 26inch

magnafuel 4303 pump
80lbs siemens
8an line
the injectors were at 65% duty cycle at 60psi fuel pressure on my highest hp pull

it made 564hp 504 tq. on 10 lbs on e85 with about 16 degs of timing.

we made it very safe because of my stock shortblock. But this power should be enough for a low 10 second pass i think.

heres a crappy cell phone video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8mNE2IrXfw

heres the turbo kit when i built it.

Soooooo what ya think?

Not too shabby Through an auto and 9" that probably puts you somewhere a shade north of 700HP at the crank.

I would love to build a turbo car. I'm just to damn cheap to come off the cash. Nice numbers, real strong.

My question is. How in the hell do you get a 99' Bird down to 2900lbs? That thing should haul *** at that weight.

I didn't know you could get them that light! Wow. The TH350 helps to shave some #'s off also.

Good baseline numbers so far. Wonder how long that rear end will last

we took two degrees of timing out of it and lost 20ish horse but the torque stayed the same. heres the final power with the more conservative timing

This was all third gear pulls with 3.20 gears! So i think the power curve is pretty strong threw out..
Btw i have a TC78 with a f1 wheel and a 1.15 ar exhaust housing and it is spooled up almost instantly! you can kinda see it on the dyno graph

Also heres some more pictures of the build. my heads i ported at home.

before

after

Dont mind the master power t-70. its a 78 now

next on my to do list is to re route my intake inlet away from that hot radiator air and build a bigger downpipe. Mine is a 3 inch pip about 1 1/2 feet long with two bends. i want to get a mandrel bent pipe and add a dynomax bullet muffler or something to tone down the sound a tad. Hopefully that will add a horse or two. A friend of mine said the heat )obvisoulsy) is killing me on that airfilter location but more importantly the bowl mouth affect of the turbo housing is hurting with the filter so close

The physical size between the master power t70 and tc78 are the exact same. Direct replacement too.

I do need a cage because mostly this things stupid fast and dangerous. I have to reserch on a 8pt or 12 pt or whatever ill need. Also I see that jegs has DIY kits for around 300 bucks.
