Default Thunder Racing RaptR cam results??

Does anyone have a cam only M6 dyno results using the Thunder Racing RaptR cam? I have been debating on this cam for my setup. Also if you have a heads/cam dyno with this cam I would be interested as well. Can you post how the drivability is as well.

Thanks.

You need more than just headers! It's a higher RPM cam so really for a M6 you could do 4.30's or an A4 with 4.10's. My combo isn't optimum as I need more gear and a 4k true stall would help. For it to really go you need the supporting mods and for sure good > .600" lift springs. In my auto driveability is good but I do notice if I am lugging at 1500 RPM or so on a backroad I end up pulling it into drive so it doesn't buck. You would get similar in a M6 I would think. It's a great cam though!

I have been seeing mixed feelings on this cam. Some people say totally stock with headers and your fine, some people say 4.10 gears or more. I want to see someone with dyno or track numbers to back it up. Why such steep gears? Does it drive horrible with stock 3.42s? I don't want a drag only setup. I want street/drag/autocross/high speed all around setup. I also want that choppy cam idle!

Some people are lying to you.

I drive mine every day, with crappy 2.73's (going 4.10's very soon) and mine ran a slow 7.9x in the 8th. It has soooo much more in it, just gotta get some gears.

I doesnt drive horrible its just not optimal for best results with this cam. if you want to go all around then 4.10 or 3.90 would be a good way to go.

FWIW, NO hyd roller cam with over 230 deg intake duration will be optimal with less than 4.10 gears in an M6 26" tire car weighing over 3000# unless you are using a power adder...

I have this cam with a set of TFS 215's. I love the how my care drives with it. I have a Moser 12 bolt w 4.10's. It gets a little bucky under 1100 rpm's. My car dynoed a little low because the dyno was not calibrated right. It will be going back to Thunder next week to finish up the build and to get it re-dynoed.
