I am still lost how we got on the spray...the original post said nothing about nitrous...
check out what tick just ram with a non optomial setup cam only with a glide 6.05 in the 1/8th
obviously a 347 is going to be more reliable but you pay for that plus I would take a good *** tuner/ nitrous on a 346 over Joe nitrous junky on a 347 anyday of the week...I have seen plently of holes in 347s and only on a 200 shot...

No doubt... But all else equal a 347 is always superior In that scenario.

If you buy new, with a few upgrades, it Is around 1700-1800 shipped for a rotating assembly.. almost exactly the price of a new fast setup. That Is with a new crank balanced and all.
You could most certainly piece together a new assembly for under 1500.
Add 800ish or so for machining.
So for an extra 700-1200$, depending on what you want and how you buy it, you have a forged 347.
My tune runs 200$ no matter what... And I would pull and install the motor myself.
I'm not arguing.. I put my idea and what I wish I would have done out there. It's not what you want and its not a big deal.

Um very close to the same and the reliable hp is in the setup and tune. ask noz thats why he went 9.30's with a stock 346 and ls6 headed motor on a 200 shot and that was on a safe tune. and once again what ggod is a bigger motor if you dont have the lungs meaning heads and intake setup to support it.

I would much rather spray a 250 hit on a forged 347 than a stock 346, as would anybody. Especially since this Is his DD.
I'm fully aware of what stock block ls1s are doing on the jug. Tick just posted his stock short times up on a 250hit with a cam only motor, it could easily hit 5s@almost 120. However, a 347 would last a Hell of a lot longer than a 346 on any setup with a decent power adder, given same tune etc... It is forged.
Also we are talking sub 3k# cars as well, not street cars.
Roll your eyes all you want. It was my opinion. I think going to a fast 102 isn't the best next best mod for him and you don't think a rotating assembly is... So be it. I don't spray anymore, sold the kit. Another one will go on when I get a new DD.

The FAST 102 > to FAST 90 > LS6 Intake ....that seems to be a fact.
But I heard that the 90mm TB was enough to produce some high power, any feed back on a FAST 102 equipped with a 90mm TB?
