Have you taken it back to the tuner since installing the new fp?

Ok guys I am the tuner. Let me try and shed some light on this situation. We dyno'd the car again today and with the new fuel pump. I will get to that in just a sec.

The original dyno was actually a Dyno Day and the owner of the shop holding the dyno day was kind enough to let me do some tuning on the Original posters car. The car made Low power and was actually quite dissapointing. The af's were in the 14s at the topend and Despite commanding more fuel the pump was not giving it. It was the original 98 pump and the injector duty cycle was 92% and rising. This was with 27 deg of timing.

The Owner installed a Racetronix pump with rewire and we took the car back to the Same dyno today. Had the Owner install TR6 plugs. At first it only made 288 with 11.1 AF (due to the new pump acutally putting out, Injector Duty dropped to 76%) and 27 degrees of timing.......with 12.7 afs (injector Duty 67%) and 29.5 Degrees of timing Car made 303 hp unlocked. There is a problem somewhere on the car and we are working to track it down. We did not do any of the work on the car and are going to be preforming a compression test asap to see what results we have.

Just got done tuning a 98 A4 car with the Same basic setup. Torquer V2 Cam, PRC Dual Springs on PRC 5.3 Stage 2 heads and Longtubes. Car made 412/423 Locked.

Original poster just told me he did a compression test and all the cylinders ranged from 122-129. Very low. So there is a big problem somewhere or the motor is a low compression motor. But we are going to try our best to help him figure it out

Sounds like the intake centerline is really retarded giving it very low dynamic compression. Timing marks could be off one tooth from dot to dot.

Yes we asked him repeatedly and he says the timing marks were dot to dot. However we won't know unless he checks them.
