LS7, Katech cam, Marcella intake results!
This car is the magnificant 67 Corvette owned by Jeff Cleary. It's been in several Vette magazines. I had the honor of tuning it a couple years ago when it had the LS7 intake on it. Jeff bought a Marcella intake and 102 throttle body from the previous shop I was working at. He got it installed, had a custom air bridge made of carbon fiber, and we put it on the dyno today. Needless to say, I was VERY impressed with the results (594 rwhp/522rwtq)! I don't have an overlay of the previous, but it made about 560 and change, and about 520ish torque. Both dynos were dynojet 248s.
And while many may pass this car off as a dyno queen/trailer queen, etc., I would add that it ran a best of 10.86@131 with the old intake on it, on street tires, with a 1.6x 60 ft!

That car looks familiar. Does it have a tube chassis? Gorgeous car. Even better with a LS7.

They are equal length 1 7/8" primarys with 3" merge collectors.
Ed,
Thanks for the GREAT job tuning this car....it is a FREAKING BEAST on the street!! The term "VIOLENT" is the only thing to describe it when you stab the throttle.......well done my man

the best results I could find from before were 536 rwhp and 501 tq. I would say that's a most impressive gain. Another great piece from John. Great job tuning by Ed as always. Jeff def has a bad *** car.

I'm shocked that you're asking about the intake.

Even though I was was not really looking for more power....(although never objected to more ), the intake, TB and airbridge really worked out as a great combo. I am attributing all of the power gain to the custom carbon fiber airbridge I built..... ha ha. Thanks again for your time and efforts working with John to build the intake. You will have to check out the car now that it is all back together.

I sure can. Keep in mind that I have the tall Katech covers. It's probably better if I measure from the top of the China wall for you.

Marcelle Intake with a 102 TB instead of an ITB for my application?

Do the runners protrude into the plenum? How long are they - if you can without giving away secrets.
I run an MCM hood which gives me a little more height.
Thanks.
