Vengeance Racing builds 447 RHS for C6 Z06.. Pics/Dyno/Video inside... MUST SEE!!!!
Corvette Forum member "CHOPPER1" recently brought us his beautiful C6 Z06 to let us work our magic after developing an issue with his (then) current engine. The new build was based around a standard deck RHS 4.165 Bore block. The goal was ultimate streetability/broad power band and nitrous friendly.... I believe we met all of the requirements
Build:
RHS Race Block-4.165 Bore Standard Deck
Callies 4.100 58X LS7 Crankshaft
Callies Rods
Diamond Pistons/Rings- Coated Skirts
Calico Coated Main/Rod Bearings
Machine work/Assembly of shortblock by Proline Race Engines
Katech C5R Timing Chain for RHS block
Vengeance Racing custom spec camshaft
Lunati Linkbar Lifters
Cometic MLS Head Gaskets
Customers existing LS7 Cylinder Heads after a valve job and freshen up!!
Additional modifications while "under the knife" include:
RPS Carbon Billet Twin Clutch Kit
Tick Adjustable Master Cylinder
HAWK HPS Pads on all four corners
"Mild to Wild" Switch for factory C6Z catback exhaust
LOTS of polish and carbon fiber
The Result:
586RWHP/551RWTQ on a VERY conservative break in tune... 500 lb ft at 3700rpm anyone???
After a few miles we will lean on the tune a bit and hit it with 200 shot of nitrous... Here is a graph of an engine very similar to this build to give you an idea of what to expect on the bottle..
A misc pics....
