Default TRex is in and running strong.

baseline was 334/350, how ever come to find out after the cam was in that i had some bad plugs and wires, plus that was with true duals. so know it would go mid to high 340's. after we put the cam in we has some dyno issues which after running tests on the plug wire showed two of them were shot. and the plugs looked like crap. after changing those it ran great. on a stock tune it was putting down just over 400 through the 12 bolt and true duals, running way rich at 12.1 and had 0 knock retard i also couldnt set the rev limiter over 6600 with the stupid programer and it was still climbing when it bounce of the limiter. so with some tunning tomorrow im confident we will see over 420. which comes out around 435 on a stock rear. i think it will go more than that. ill post up some more number tomorrow afternoon.
btw, the motor has almost 50k miles on it.

we are going to mess with a few things tonight with the bullets on it and then i want to put the mufflex y-pipe on it. we think it will pick up a good bit of torque with the y-pipe. if i can pull off 430, i would be thrilled. it is so damn loud with the bullets, but sounds sooooooo good. i drove mine and jasons, and the gears make a world of difference in driving it. so i know my 4.56's will feal awsome. oh, btw, it pulls like a mother, to bad i had stock tires on it, have to wait till 4th to floor it

Smokin ...

How are you setting up your exhaust? I am taking my cats out and putting a dynomax bullett in the I-pipe .... I have a magnaflow catback system, and I would like this cam to sound somewhat close to the soundlevel I have now (224 cam) .... do you think I should stick with my plan, or would you say getting 2 dynomax bulletts and putting them in the Y-pipe in the place of the cats, and nothing in the I-pipe would be a better idea?

.
i just finished installing the mufflex dual 3" Y-pipe with a 4"to 3" reducer in the end of the flowmaster collector to connect to the borlas. for now i have a single bullet at the end of the y-pipe collector and it sounds much quieter now but still insanly loud at wot. if you can, i would put dual bullets in the y-pipe and put a single cutout behind the y-pipe collector then go into the exhaust. that is how my last setup was and it worked out great. ill let you know whether or not to go with the y after i see which way puts out the most power.

it going to definatly be tomorrow. angies car is in need of some serious attention in order to be ready for friday. we will definatly do it tomorrow. im really curious to see what it peaks at on this stock tune. since we hit the 6600 limiter while it was still climbing. im thinking around 405, 410 at best. then we will change up the timing and a/f ratios to drag out another 20hp hopefully.
