I am subscribed to you. I am going to be running almost the same combo as you, however mine will be this:

370ci LQ9 @ 9.06:1 compression
AFR 225cc w/ 72cc chambers
Custom grind 236/232 114LSA cam
Pacesetter 1.75 headers
Edelbrock Pro-flo XT intake
TH400 with Cicle D 5K stall
Moser 9" with 3.50 gear

I only hope I could dyno as much as you did, and also hope I could get a sixty foot as good as yours.

I am just shooting for a goal of 6's in the 1/8th N/A.

Good luck on the rest of your build!

I have a feeling my 3.50 gear is going to be what kills me, I wish I had 4.56's like you. But this car is ultimately a turbo build car, so I need to stick with the 3.50's.

That is the reason I put almost up in my thread. I realize your compression is higher....

I didn't intend to come off as a ***... Just feel you setup is yards ahead of mine, and should perform pretty good as well, your just giving up a ton of power since your mostly designed for boost, running NA... I'm gonna spray next season, so hopefully can hang w/ some of these faster car's..

Sorry, I guess I came off as an *** too. Just thought you were being sarcastic, because in all seriousness, I think my motor would probably only dyno a tick above 400 to the wheel right now. At least that is what my butt dyno and my trap speed tell me. I am leaving alot of the table with this low of compression, like you said. But I am just kinda in limbo between turbo builds, and I still want to race my car at the track, so I guess it is what it is right now.

Good luck with your car, I will be following like I said!

The peak might be low but its definitely not at a low rpm - it is around 5800-6000 which means that the peak hp (if the induction/tune/valvetrain) is right should have been @ around 7300-7500... hmm should be more left in this combo if that is correct. Advancing the cam as mentioned looks like your next best move if you can.

It is either running out of flow, floating the valves, the tune or a combination of these three that is keeping it from peaking and I am sure you don't want to spin that stock short that high regardless. Don't get me wrong its ripping for sure just curious whats going based on that dyno graph.

What rpm are you shifting at?

Had float, but swapped out the springs, and haven't gone back to the dyno since, I'm shifting currently 63-6500 and running it out the back @7k.. It's a out the box super Vic, stock castings.. I do have the ability to advance the cam, if I desire, this was just a interesting experiment.. I may throw it back on to play with the tune a bit, I'm pretty sure the float is gone and power might have a lil carried better.. Only went to track once, and despite the shitty 60 It was dead nuts consistent.. And reliable.. Gotta screw my rims, and ditch the stock shocks.. I'm putting heads on over the winter so, I'll never get to push this combo as far as I can take it.. But it sure was fun...

It's a 8" coan.. Flashes to 5300 or so..
