Default Heintz Racing Built Stock Bottom End LS7 makes 620 RWHP NA!

This particular car would happen to be our shop car that we tinker and try different setups on. If you remember a few years back, this is the car that made 560 RWHP with a LS2 402, but we decided that it was a little too radical. https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamomet...p-504rwtq.html This setup with the LS7 drives so much better and pulls so much harder than the last. Figured I would share the results with you guys, as I think the car turned out great.

2005 C6 M6 Corvette

Callaway Honker CAI
Advanced Induction Ported Stock LS7 Heads 13:1 Compression Ratio

Here is the dyno graph, I believe it speaks for its self.

Holy crap, that is sick. I am guessing the cam is in the 250-260 range on a 114 or so? I love the AI heads. Great work. Did you all have to fly cut?

251 261 @.050 on the cam. 110 LSA with +1 Degree Advance.

No fly cutting, but its tight. I would not want to go any tighter without fly cutting.

Running the numbers, I am coming up with 9.59:1 DCR. The intake Adv Closes at 72 ABDC.

These are the numbers I am running through the calculator-

Cylinders-8
Bore-4.125
Stroke-4.000
Rod Length-6.067
SCR-13:1
Intake Valve Closes ABDC-72.0 Deg
Boost-0
Altitude-850ft

Hope that helps ya!

I will check it on my calculator. I figured you would have to run a wider lobe sep to get a cam that big to clear the stock pistons and get the DCR in the 8.8 range. I have found that anything over 9 DCR on 93 around here won't take much timing. 8.8 seems to be the sweet spot. You got more guts than I do. 110 lobe sep and carying power up that high is awsome. I guess GM sunk the valves a little deeper in the LS7 heads than the LS3's. Great work.

What do you think a FAST 102 ported by AI and an UD pulley would get you? Are there any future plans to do something like that? I plan on doing a 440-454ci combo in the future to demolish my 416 but I am looking to get near 700rw. Probably going to need to go sheet metal and solid roller but I would like to see the plastic manifolds and HR cams pushed to their limits before I commit. You all seem to be heading in that direction.

To answer your last question, the LS7 has valve reliefed pistons of somewhere around 5.3cc That is where you are gaining a little clearance over a stock LS3 setup. I do feel that a FAST would pick it up a little, but not sure how much exactly, as I dont remember what the MAP was being pulled down to on the dyno if any.

It pulls very hard on the street. A NA motor making this kind of power feels to me like an 750-800rwhp blower car.

This is Jeffs car, the owner of the shop.

Cool, thanks. I didn't know that. You are also 100% correct about a NA motor feeling like a much more powerful FI motor.

I will have video of this car from LS fest later this week. The car in person does not do the post justice. Great work as always by Heintz Racing and AI.

I love it when a shop does a smart build and defies the conventional forum wisdom (in this case the need for a fast 102 LXR intake va ported stock ls7 mani, or the UDP that is usually included without thought)

This is a very sharp, inspirational build that makes more power than many of the 440-454ci setups I'm seeing.

Sent you an email, Zach. Please let me know your thoughts!

Thanks for sharing the latest on Nick's old C5.

Wonder what he charged himself for a NW 102 TB... ;-)
