Talking Cammed 123,000mile LS1

Had the car dyno tuned the other day, was hoping for alittle more then what it put down. I guess I need ported TB, LS6 intake, a new clutch and more free mods. The only mods on the car are in my sig. Do you guys think a ZO6 clutch would be ok for the car?

You dont have an LS6 intake on the car? That's an easy 15+ rwhp after a retune. A ported TB should pick up 8-10 depending on the quality. You've got another 20-25 in it with the necessary mods and a retune...

I think the numbers are fine for the mods.

Add what Damin mentioned and you'll be in the 375+ range easily.

i still think its a bit low...figure even stock he probably made 300ish to the wheels add headers/duals and he shouldve been at 320 + the cam meaning he wouldve only gained 30 from that cam? I think its low by about 20hp, for me a compression check would be something on my to do list.

30 RWHP is a good bit guys I would do a leakdown (just due to the mileage) but I bet it'll be within spec

I agree with Chris and Damian, there is lots of power left on the table with more bolt-ons.

nice to see a high miles car pumping out the numbers

yup, intake and TB would help a good bit for sure.

and yes, if your clutch is toasty and is slipping it will effect your numbers greatly.

need an asp pulley, Tbody, ls6 intake and you will like your numbers better......alot of guys here throw a cam in and expect to see some of these huge numbers that they read in the dyno threads......but you need all of those every little bit counts mods to get those numbers.....i think your numbers are fairly good but thats just me....~~5-8rwhp, LS6 Intake on a cammed car....easily 12-15rwhp, and the ported tbody 5-8rwhp....hell thats an easy 375rwhp with a new tune

looks like it leaned out too much up top also. That should be where that cam really comes in.

Me thinks it has more power in it, even without the boltons.. But get those done first and then worry about it Then you can troubleshoot if its still down on power. Either way, glad to see some high milage LS1s tearing up asphalt.

Good Luck,
Josh

I agree with most of the guys.... I think something is wrong... U should check ur Compression in each bank and see whats up. I made 348rwhp 363rwtq with LID, Headers and Catback. I think even with the LS1 Intake manifold u should see at least 370-375rwhp with that cam.

I would also opt for a compression check and leakdown test before you put any more $$ in your current motor.
