Default Jantzer heads and XER cam results

Just got back from the Dyno and James at RWTD ended up not being available so I couldn't do any fine Tuning Although Robert at Gen III motorsports is going to help me out a bit in an hour or so.

Anyways the dyno operater only took it to 6K because it was at 13.5 AFR and I didn't want it to get any leaner. Had no knock retard though up there.

Anyways this is basically JUST Jantzer ported heads with just resurfacing and stock vavles. 232/230 595/590 on a 114 cam. Kooks Longtubes, TSP lid. Everything else is stock including the cat back.

It did 403.74@6k HP and 377.35@~5k TQ. I gotta figure I have more in it with some more mods and taking it to 6500-6600. But I'm just happy to finally be in the 400 club!

If I can get the AFR down I should have track times tomorrow. I am waiting for the shop to email me the dyno sheet I'll post it when I get it!

Bobby

Glad to see you got the bugs worked out. You had me a little worried for a minute.

Is that 400+ at 6k through the exaust or do you have a cutout? I'm willing to bet that cam won't peak until 6500+ because of the duration and it's on a 114, I think it'll run 430+ with a good tune and upping the limiter. Also is there cats on your car? Have an underdrive pulley? You need the ported TB as well. I think your car is gonna surprise you at the track when it's all dialed in.

Can't wait to see the final numbers, but more importantly track times.

Btw, I leave (not this tuesday, but the following) to go pick up that formula. And I placed my order for 18X9, 18X10 GT sports. And already have my pacesetter LT's and offroad y ready to bolt on. Let the mods begin!

Congrats on the setup.

If I recall correctly my 224 224 114 cam peaked at 6300 rpms (although my cam is much smaller). Also from my first basic tune to my completely tweaked tune I made 10rwhp. Im sure you will be making even more. Didnt Jantzer port the stock heads?

Get it tuned! Congrats for being in the 400 club (too bad my cam didnt take me there but I made it close to 500 on spray! )

Yep Scott just ported the stock heads, no milling just ported and did a vavle job with stock LS1 valves.

I am not running cats but it is through the stock WS6 exaust no cut out.

Yeah I'm going to get a TB and probably an SLP dual\dual. Pulley. What I REALLY need is 4:10's. I think Scott you should have them installed and we can put a Jantzer performace sticker on my car

once you get all of the other little pieces and a tune that will let you rev i bet you could see as much as 430rwhp. a cutout would be a very worthwhile mod, IMO, and you should really consider doing at least that. you'd probably get another 10hp or so with it.

congrats on the new setup
keep us updated!

Wow .. are those on stock manifolds? did you ever install the kooks headers?

this car definetly sounds like it has 430rwhp potential with a couple of few more bolt ons. If you could go that high using the stock heads you'll impress the hell out of me (In other words DO IT! )

Do you have a graph you could post so we can see the torque vs. HP curve? Also, do you know what the ICL of your cam is? Great #'s btw!

I'm still waiting for the shop to email me the damn graph. I have a hard copy so if I don't get it soon I'll just take a digital pic.

The headers are installed the catback is stock Could you imagine that with stock manifolds!!!!

If your really interested in the ICL you could give Jantzer a PM I bought everything from him. I'll ask too! BTW I'm no where near your dyno queen I'm going to the track I'll post how it does, I have Nittos and a stock 3.42 rear so I'll be easing it out of the hole but maybe I'll get some good MPHs!!!
