I'd be interested to see what it would do with a 2 step installed and limiting the launch rpm to 4200-4400rpm. Let the converter flash instead of letting it grab the motor instantly on launch.
I would like to know if I am the fastest stock bottom end supercharged, I did some searching and the fastest I found was kvelasco1 at 9.15@ 148

I tried flashing the converter before and it didn't help but it making more power now so I will have to try it

By adding more HP and tq your converter will react differently then previously so it is worth trying again. Also your car sounds very good running down the track now

I know you have a lot of experience racing.

Have you found the same thing I have in that with a converter working properly for the combination, that flashing the converter instead of loading it up procures a faster E.T. most of the time?

Yes... I agree with you. I would definately have a 2 step to lower the launch RPM or at least try to find what's best for the particular application. I have never had my best results launching off the full stall of a converter on the trans break.

A 1.28 60' is a pretty good start so far though

EDIT....Also day to day and track to track will be different so you need a way to adjust to the track conditions.

I agree that a 1.28 60' is very good progress with the new converter, pulley and fuel.

I always let my converters flash a lot, but as you said day to day track conditions will really determine this. With his car, and it being able to make more boost the higher rpm he leaves with, that may be why he's seeing his best times that way.

It makes me believe that if he left with more timing at a lower RPM and ramped that added timing out quickly after launch it would be even faster.

You have an easy 8 second pass with a few small tweaks. Where are you currently shifting?

Probably. Kevins was a 5.7, stock head, plastic intake and D1SC you should have no trouble going much faster than that.

What you take motor apart for? His got chucked from a used intake with pieces of someones else previously popped motor in it. They came loose when we switched it to turbo and I was setting up tune for spool up. Shut the throttle once at 4000rpm and vacuum sucked junk in. Fun while it lasted Was worried about the gen3 rods
