Default Livernois Stg III head results

Just got the car tuned by Ed yesterday. Before the head swap, the car made 413 and 375 at the wheels with a comp 230/232 592/595 111, FAST 90/90, and Dynatech Supermaxx headers. For the head swap, I got a set of the Livernois Stg III 243 heads, factory MLS gaskets, ARP head bolts, 7.375 pushrods, LS7 lifters, comp trunion upgrade, and FAST 36# injectors. Post tune, the car made 447 rwhp and 407 rwtq. The car pulls like crazy on the street....looking forward to getting to the track to really get an idea as to how much of a difference the heads made.

I sure hope so, would be pretty disappointing to go from stock 241s to stage 3 ported 243s and only gain some 34rwhp.

If the OP has a c5z then I assume the baseline was done with LS6 heads.

4.25 more ponies from each cylinder with only portwork to the same casting
I'd call that pretty darn good....should be good for around 3-4 mph traps

Yup stock 243 heads to start with....the impressive part is the torque curve....350 ftlbs from 2K and 400 ftlbs from 3.5K up to redline

Have a dyno graph to share? I've only seen a handful of threads about the livernois port jobs but they all seem to make exceptional low end torque.

x2. The few threads Ive found on them all have great results. Their pricing is good as well for not having to supply cores. Great results OP!

Nice results..ive always liked livernois heads especially after a flowed a set against some other competitors heads and they outflowed them while having a smaller runner and being milled to 59cc i didn't use those heads but i wish i would have to see the results. Were your heads milled any? I may go with a similar combo

They were only milled .012, so about 63cc chambers, and that was only to ensure they were true

Those are pretty good numbers. The increase in torque without much of a bump in compression is huge.

Thats interesting, I wonder what the numbers would look like with those heads milled down to 60cc or less. Seems like with these heads you can get away without having to mill them down a ton and lose a lot of ptv clearance for a big cam.

Yea, I didn't want to mill them much because on a street car, I didn't want to worry about PTVC even being close

Solid results there OP. Sounds like the "seat of the pants" difference is outstanding.
