Now add some ported and milled Ls6 heads to bump compression and let it breathe better. What did it make prior to the cam?

ID still do a mild PP and valve job and mill them down a bit. The low and mid lift numbers would improve markedly and it would love the compression to. Nice flat curve on that graph, I bet the car feels great SOTP.

The ASA camshaft is an awesome TQ generator. It still to this day makes one of the most beautiful TQ curves on a stock LS1 engine.

I've seen great results adding in a 1.8 rocker with some LS6 heads. A couple of years ago I did that exact swap (1.8 rockers, stock 243 castings milled .035) and the car made 415rwhp with the sickest TQ curve I've ever been able to produce. The car was an absolute blast to drive. I'll see if I can dig up the dyno sheet.

Eager to see this graph. Why did it respond so well to the 1.8 rockers?

Probably because of the added lift from a 1.7 to a 1.8 rocker if I had to guess

^This.

That camshaft is 226/236 at .050 on a 110 LSA, but with only .525 lift with 1.7 rockers. 1.8 rockers should bring that up to around .556" lift, correct?

I would think someone could deconstruct the cam and use modern high lift lobes for the same curves but more power overall? I mean .550" was a lot of lift when ASA, Hotcam and the LS6 were initially available.

I suppose you have to match the intake and exhaust used in ASA cars to the cam to get the best results. Open headers? What intake?

Ray when I get in tonight I'll get you a digital copy of this graph for you! Def an impressive torque curve! I thought the power was pretty good as well considering most cam only LS1's with mid 230's duration cams only make between 340-355 on my dyno.

Default ASA caM PACKAGE

What times do you think it would run down the 1/4 in a 2400 lb car and say 3.9 diff ratio with about a 3500 stall? i was thinking of using a holley on a victor with this package and a P/P also.
