Hell yes I am trying it. I need to call Snow and determine how long I can/should run it before it chews my pump and seals to ****. But I'll at least do a couple of pulls and put half a gallon through.

Now if you guys wanted to send me a couple of bottles of the nitro and maybe some pics of your wives. ..ok, just the bottles then. lol. Probably be 6 weeks

Here is where the FI guys might weigh back in. Id be interested in knowing any results from people INJECTING VP M5 or M3. Its my understanding that M5 at minimum contains nitrometh. I dont think I can mix it with water like the nitroboost though, so it might require 100% and a new tune...that I am not up for financially right now.

I may have to do a little testing on a LS3 with this. Its a cam and milled heads LS3 with a dynamic compression ratio of 8.7 but does have some anti-detonation tricks on the chambers. I have a Snow st2 kit sitting on the shelf that we can do a quick wire up for testing. If we get some time to test one weekend I'll let you guys know the results.

James, that would be awesome info to combine with mine. Your DCR is a little higher than mine, I assume you're running 93? Any idea how much timing you have now? This will be cool.

Yes we are running 93 octane. On the dyno it liked ~26* peak tq and 29* at peak hp. I don't think I loaded the car quite hard enough because it would ping a little in high gear at the track so we pulled 2* global from it to remedy that. Didn't really affect trap speed however. I think with the compression the engine is running that it would benefit by a little cooling and octane additive.

Id say then that the loss due to ping and any KR was about the same as retarding 2 degrees. (I was getting about 2* of KR on a few occasions, never more.) Indeed it would be interesting to see if you could advance but not cool off the combustion so much that you still get more hp on balance.

In for updates and dyno numbers/charts if possible after your tuning!

Also think you are spraying way to much meth (fuel). Step it down.

Cool, finally. Info on your jets and settings and why you think im spraying too much? If you could add your info/results to this thread, it would be great.

I have an inquiry in to Snow on the nitro...too busy to catch them by phone these days.

I'm sure I'm not alone in this sentiment...

They REALLY need to poke their head in here and talk and discuss things they've done in the past and give a bit of guidance.

Which part? Haha

The timing I refer to like that because I don't just flatline timing in cars I tune. I adjust timing at each rpm based on the torque curve which is a direct representation of cylinder pressure and cylinder filling. So ~48-5200 on most LS combos you will have peak torque which is where timing should be lowest and as torque rolls over as rpm increases I then ramp timing back into it. It increases powerband and increases power.

Unfortunately the car I speak of my buddy just totaled Friday so we won't be testing it for a while on any high compression NA cars.

Firstly, did you guys see the FoMoCo thread at the top of this forum stating that GMC could not hack it for these oil and gas workers?

1) WTF?
2) Show me your Dr. Whigham, .you pony pounding blue oval wearing dual-overhead cam havin wanna be rice donkey. . :

I sent Snow a message over the weekend on the Nitro and here is what I got. I removed the tech's name because I didn't ask to post this, but he also helped me out with an order error and is the reason why I say they have good customer service.

Q: Hi, Im running a stage 3 boost cooler on my normally aspirated LS1 Camaro. I'm running 50/50 water meth and am interested in trying the nitroboost. I have read that nitrometh can eat the seals in the pump and elsewhere and I just wanted to know how bad this effect is with the recommended mix, should I watch it like a hawk, not leave it in the tank for a month, keep seals etc on hand, use infrequently? Ideally I'd run the nitroboost on this car 100% of the time. Just want to know how realistic this is from a maintenance perspective and am looking for some guidance.

A: Nitro booster is fine to run in the system but it is not designed for constant use. It will lean out the A/F ratio and increase combustion temperatures so it is designed for drag strip use only

I have asked the obvious follow up question: "what if I tune for it?"

I also directed this particularly helpful tech to this particular thread. It would be swell if he answers, but a lot of companies wont engage on a forum.

427zm. . .I just saw your sig for the first time as I'm always on a phone. Love it.
