Default 2000 Camaro LS1/T56-AFR 205 heads, Polluter V2 Cam

Hey guys,

Here are the numbers from a Mustang dyno. AFR 205 Heads and Polluter V2 Cam, Strange S60 rear with 4:10 gears.

The weather correction shows up on the sheet, 399/348 but without the weather correction, it was 405/353.

What do you guys think?

No, 6 speed. Remember, it was on a mustang dyno so the numbers are going to be lower.

Not always lower but sometimes, seems kinda low regardless for a 6speed unless it's a really stingy dyno

Remember too that S60 is going to eat some power. I'm sure it runs it's *** off. What's the compression?

I had the car at the track before this tune last year running a 12.45 AFR and 25% of timing on a 100* day spinning in first, second and part of third (Street tires) with a 2.2 60 feet time and ran a 12.6 @ 116mph. If that tells you anything. It should be stronger now and as soon as I get MT on, it will hook.

Sounds pretty strong for the heat, remember being your a stick to get bias ply tires if you want to hook without having to do a major clutch slip

Oh I know, mine was tuned on a mustang dyno as well, and the numbers weren't the greatest at the time lol

The S60 eats up more power than anyother rear end, especially with 4:10s. Looks to be on the low side but it could be a stingy dyno. Id try another dyno just to compare if you get around to it.

Yes, if I can find another dyno, I would like to compare.

There's a member on here with a 3.73 S60 with ported 243s, a smaller cam and a fast 102 through an auto that made more power.

Even on a mustang Dyno I'd be unhappy with those numbers. What intake is on the car? Exhaust setup? Breakdown your whole mod list.

How old are your plugs, wires, fuel filter, etc?

I think even with the S60 and a mustang dyno, your numbers seem a little low. You have a max effort peak hp cam, and a really good set of heads. It should have made at least 420 IMO. What header and throttle body does it have on it?

What's with the 10:1 AFR? That could be robbing you bad of power. I dyno'd 414rwhp on a Mustang dyno with my LE2 LT1 and a smaller cam than yours. You're leaving power somewhere on that dyno. But, your 116mph trap tells me you are putting down 440rwhp (uncorrected- assuming a 3600lb race weight).

Dyno numbers are great for tuning and fine adjustments. But, real 1/4 traps and weight will give you real horsepower made. Remember Hp=work over time.

Yes a couple people are saying the numbers are low, but my MPH is up there and that is with me tuning it at the strip with a conservative 12.45 AFR. The dyno could be robbing me, but all dynos are not the same. I don't know how they set this one up. Also, it was a load bearing dyno.

It definitely feels stronger than before but once I get back to the track and or on a different dyno, i will post up the results. Nothing feels wrong with the car, to me it is just a different dyno and lower numbers than normal. But time will tell.

BTW, they were not logging the wide band, it was connected to my HP tuner module, I am 12.8 +/-.2 across the board at WOT.

There were some well known tuners there helping tune the car so if there was something wrong with the car, they would have said something and we wouldn't have tuned it, also they told me that if this was a dyno jet then the car would be making between 440-450 hp.

I am not worried, just need to either get it on another dyno or at the track.

I think its the least form the 7.5 10bolt, s60 then a 12bolt, and 9" is the worst.(takes more power to drive- least efficient) from the pinion placement.

IMO, from my internet knowledge I think that cam is all wrong for those AFR heads. Just my .02

I would like to hear what Martin@Tick performance has to say about this!!

I forgot to mention to you guys to that this is through the stock muffler and a catted y pipe. I do have a cutout on the car but didn't get around to opening to see if there would be a difference.

I would probably be more interested in hearing what Tony Mamo says about it. If you research some AFR heads do not like a big split and added exhaust duration because of their strong exhaust flow. That's why just about every cam Tony specs out for those heads are single pattern cams and normally not very big. Again, just from my internet knowledge.
