Honestly, if you want a big converter for the street I would talk to Chris @ circle D about his E series converters. The 3E that I have right now seems tighter than the 3600 4C I had before at part throttle.

That is interesting. When Chris built my converter we went with the 4c and if I remember correctly, he said the 2E would drive a little looser. We chose the 4c because he felt it would handle the nitrous better. Also, my 4c flashes to about 4000 rpm. He did say that he felt the 2E would likey be faster on he motor though. Yours is the first report I have heard on a 3E.

I also thought it was strange. It doesn't make sense to me, but under light throttle it feels tighter than the 4C but when you lean into the throttle even half throttle you can tell that there is more in this converter than the 4C had.

In my opinion the E series converters are perfect for a street car with a high stall. They are very streetable, able to cut a good 60ft, and are super efficient.

Yea that's why I got the 2E, almost everyone here on the street do rolls only. Plus I wanted an efficient TC that way I can trap well lmao

Plus I was impressed with a members small cam ls6 car that ran hard with this converter. CrazyElf's car ran out too

I talked to Chris the other day, he recommend me using the 4c with a 3600-3800 stall or using the 5c with a 4000-4200 stall. I will be spraying a 100-150 shot, but I dont spray often. Im leaning towards the 5c converter.

I plan on leaving the SLP powerflo catback on the car but I want to get the Speed Engineering 1 7/8" headers and make a custom y pipe with the flowmaster merge with a 4in cutout before the catback.

Well' I finally got some good air and a chance to run the car since my son was born. With the gear change and better air I was able to cut a 1.45 60ft and a 10.84 pass with this combo! I know it's been a while but I just wanted to give you guys an update.

What's crazy is, after I figured out that I needed to get the tires extremely hot to hook on the cold track, the car responded well to stalling it as high as I could.

Stalling to 1500rpm-10.98@122.01 / 1.502 60ft
Stalling to 2000rpm-10.95@122.19 / 1.474 60ft
Stalling to 3000rpm-10.84@123.22 / 1.459 60ft

I wish I had time for one more pass last night cause I would have stalled it up to just before it starts to push through the brakes... I could probably push it to 3500rpm and net a 1.44X 60ft.

I will post slips later and hopefully get some video up as well.

Almost 25 mph on the back half, it always sucks when you finally figure out what the car likes and you run out of time. That happened to me the last time I was at the track.

Nice results! I used your build as a similar guide to mine. I've still got a stock tb and ls6 intake though. Before I upgraded my heads it made 444/398 on motor. Any plans on spraying this setup?
