You can't seal the rocker bolts once ported. The rocker bolt protrudes into the runner quite a bit. As long as you use Loctite on it you are good. You could bolt the rockers down and go back at the bolt with the grinder if you wanted and then seal it somehow but you run the risk of that falling of into the intake runner during operation.
Just trying to get a comparison on what his heads flow vs. what mine did to compare dyno numbers. The SNS STG 2 cam is the little cam that could. I did a very slight variation to it for my particular combo.

There is more torque on the table from 2000-4500 and beyond if you want it. Here's the scoop on how to unlock that power.
Buy a 3" inlet, 4" outlet Flow Master Y merge. Have your nearest local exhaust shop that knows what they're doing cut your TSP Y merge off and weld this in place. Then purchase a 4" to 3" reducer to connect your 4" FM merge to your existing intermediate pipe and cat-back.
The merge and reducer won't cost you more than 65 dollars before shipping and the labor at the muffler shop shouldn't cost more than 1 hours time.
Not only will it improve scavenging at low/mid RPM's it will also pick up at peak HP as well. As a side bonus it will nearly eliminate the dreaded ORY rasp that occurs at low RPM as well.
We sell the merge and the reducer FWIW. Merge is 50 bucks and the reducer is 13 bucks.

I cant tell you the average gain, but its WELL worth it. It was my 1st modification and its supporting the SNS Torquemax AMAZING. The size difference is incredible going from the necked down 2.75 to the 4

What did you use to CC the heads? 215cc is pretty small for a ported 243. I would think you took out more than 5cc's if you touched the runner at all. Your bowl work looks like mine but I can't see your SSR. Mine came in at 226cc and I barely touched the runner. What did you use to measure your gains or losses when you were porting? I can tell you how to make a really cheap "flow bench" for the garage that will really help your porting if you are just guessing right now. You mentioned in your first post that these won't be your last set of heads.

mustang dyno within 5% correction of a dynojet i believe... combo is in sig...
dyno with 4.10s gear, ls7 clutch, tt2's wrapped in toyo 315s clutch if that matters
CR: 11.6-.7 ???
DCR: forgot...don't know calculations
its more of a progressive powerband where it starts to pour on about 4300rpm which is too high for where i spend most of the time... looking for more grunt in this street car...something more instantaneous in the low/mid range... seems like 350rwtq at 3,000rpm from some of the other street combos i've been seeing is what i'm looking for.
something like the sns 2 is i'm considering
dyno with 4.10s gear, ls7 clutch, tt2's wrapped in toyo 315s clutch if that matters

My advice is to ditch the G5X3 and get the sns stage 2...If your vehicle is driving the majority of the time on the street, imo you are taking away 70% of the fun factor by having to spin it that high (4300rpm) just to feel the power surge..The great thing about the sns stage 2 is that your powerband surge will start UNDER 2,000 rpm and keep pulling all the way to 7,000 rpm...you will appreciate the powerband I promise you...and the power/dyno numbers will be a lot closer than you think between the two cams....

As far as the re tune goes after installing the new merge.
Picking up that kind of power across the curve is sure to lean out the tune-up a bit. You'll be removing more spent exhaust gas from the cylinder so more intake charge can now be put in its place. This will certainly lean the tune out somewhat.
How much so is left to be unseen until we(or your tuner or yourself) gets a VCM scanner on it and on the dyno.

Hey guys I'm planning to put this cam on my ls1 build. My build is for dd and occasional autox. Do I need to upgrade the stock rockers? I have upgraded the springs and pushrods.
