Smile 5.3 results n/a

Hello everyone, I just recently had my car dyno'ed. Just a 5.3 iron block with ARP rod bolts 243 heads unported. Custom turbo cam stock ls1 intake (98) . Kooks 17/8 no cats 3 inch to lm1 and dumped. Anyway put down 380whp/365tq, which is cool with me. But I got to thinking the intake is prolly the weak link. So just wanted to get some opinions on intakes. Keeping in mind I want to put a 78 or pt88 on this winter. Would I have noticable gains from a fast set up or be better off with an ls6 or just stock since it will be boosted soon anyway.
Thoughts???

Made pretty power, a fast 90 or 92 mm intake will definitely be an improvement and even better be porting the heads.

Yeah I would love to send the heads to. I take it 102 would be too much? 92 would probably be best for my setup?

380/365! Those are impressive numbers for a N/A 5.3! My carb'd 5.3 with a TSP 224 put down 310/300. Most guys with 243 headed 5.3s are in the 330-350 range. You are either pulling good numbers, pulling our leg or have a very gracious dyno! Reagardless, I am sure it is a lot of fun!

Got any graphs?

I'd go with an LS2 manifold. Cheap and effective, not the best but it won't really letter with boost.

I actually didn't get a graph but plan on going again after an intake swap. But no not pulling any legs lol. Didn't get a graph because I had a couple issues etc on the dyno and was ready to gtfo of there pretty much. I think I'll try and find a used fast locally. I need to run it when it cools down here. Would a ported ls2 and larger t.b get my goal of 400na you think? Thanks guys appreciate it!

Thats right in line with what a customers LM7 made with my stage 2 Turbo shelf cam.... he was 383/365 iirc....

Basically the same setup too... long tubes with an LS1 intake with 243's.... his headers were 1 3/4 though.

Nice numbers.

Ya I like it so far, I planned on e85 at first so a higher compression didn't bother me. Honestly when I got the car dynoed I was pissed...kinda. dissapointed I was expecting 400. What are the specs on the stage 2 ? I actually species mine over the phone and the guy told me I wouldn't like the cam. So far I like it. With boost idk yet...

Great numbers. Just my opinion, if you are going with a boosted application over the winter do not spend the money on the FAST Intake unless you can get it for dirt cheap. If anything get an LS6 intake which has been proven on boosted applications. Again just an opinion.
