Default Built Ls7 in my C6Z Finished

Just got my car finished up a couple weeks ago and it came out awesome. So far I have just been playing around with it and getting used to the power. Not sure of the future goals are for this car yet but figured I'd go ahead and post up the info as I'm really impressed with it thus far. Just want to give a special thanks to Brian Tooley for all the phone calls and emails exchanged and your guidance for this build. Also to my builder/tuner Rick at Synergy Motorsports as this mans tuning skills and knowledge all around is amazing and don't call him "the mad scientist" for nothing.
,
My previous setup was really basic but how I bought the car so I couldn't complain. It was equipped with a forged Ls7 built by Synergy Motorsports;

Synergy custom cam 23x/24x
Stock heads
Stock intake
Ported stock tb by synergy
K&N cai
ARH 1 7/8" headers catted Xpipe
Corsa sport cat back

Car made 537/503 SAE

Current changes include;

WCCH ported/milled heads 12.0 comp
BTR Stage 4 cam
FAST 102/NW102
Haltech 103 CAI
ARH 2" headers w/ORX
Meth
Mantic 9000 clutch

Car made 632/570 SAE

632/570 SAE is a nice and powerful rwhp. how much is that hp/torque at the crank? your C6 Z06 is M6, correct? what is the % parasitic loss percentage for the C6 Z06's manual transmission? I think it is 0.85, correct?

what is the percentage for an automatic transmission?

thanks.

Nice results! Do you have any specs on those heads? Curious on track times too.

Those dynapack dyno's always seem to be pretty generous. My buddy has a similar combo with a 440ci LS7 and isn't even making 600whp on a Mustang dyno.

Lol kinda what I was thinking. Looks like most of his setups have been "happy". Would like to see some trap speeds to back them up.

Guys, he is running higher compression and meth injection. That means he can safely add more timing to take advantage of the compression. He also has 2" headers and a light weight clutch.

dynapack dynos read close to crank hp. They are bolted to the axles even. Zero hp lost from tires or wheel setup. Its the same way AMG rates the hp of their new cars like the AMG GT. That car probably makes 560-5rwhp on an average dynojet and around 520-5 on a properly setup mustang dyno. Very nice setup regardless OP

The a Firehawk has only made it to the track once and got kicked out. Went last November and ran a 10.73 @132 with a 1.63 60' with a off idle launch but couldn't finish the track as I was out of gear. I had a moser w/4.10's with C5 deep dish 18" wheels with Hoosiers.

Since then I have changed a few key components

New rear with 3.90's
Weld RTS all around
A 6 point cage

Trust me I didn't believe the numbers either but everyone's car that comes off this dyno reads accurate. I will post new times when I get back to the track.

As far as the Zo6 goes I don't have plans to take it to the track but if I do I'll post those times too

Exactly, there's plenty of guys making between 620-630 rwhp on any dyno with this same setup. Numbers aren't out of this world high. I am on 100% meth no mixture, higher compression and this cam no meth typically makes 595-605 pump gas. From what I've seen

I'm sorry I was wrong on my times pardon me as I haven't seen this time slip in a while.
I had two passes total
1.68 60' 7.0 @ 102.3mph 1/8 mile 10.74 @132
1.63 60' 6.98 @ 102.0mph 1/8 mile 10.73 @ 132

That's with the 416 setup? That's a damn strong back half lol.

For comparison. I have a friend that has a 1967 Corvette with an LS3 based 427 also with 12.0:1 compression(Torco). His car put down around 525RWHP on a Mustang dyno with an M6. He is right now on Drag Week and his best so far is around 10.6 @ 130mph, so very similar to the posters times. The only reason I posted this was to compare dyno numbers with similar cars.

Yessir she moves up top and a freeway monster as well.
And yes that's with the 416. Lots of weight was removed with the new rear and wheels so hoping to get real low 10's when I get back.

Sounds about right. That's what mine traps in the 1/8th with the combo in my sig. Just trying to gauge what mine would trap in the 1/4 is all.

I can feel it. What kind of power does your car make? Sounds like a wicked setup

It's not but 570/535. I still have a non ported FAST 92/92 and stock water pump. Hoping with a ported 102 and EWP I can get closer to 600. I also want to try and pull some weight. Only thing I have pulled is the AC, front bumper support, cruise, and ABS delete.

Very nice setup!

I'm convinced some of those dyno's are "happy" especially when you see them trap in the low 130's on decent tracks in decent air. I know there's a lot of variables and driver does also affect mph but some don't perform as they should with the 600+ dyno numbers.
I'd like to see a lot more 140mph ls7's or similar with those numbers or at least close to it.

How's the drivability with that cam? I'm thorn between the btr stage 4 and the stage 3. I was also considering matts from gp tuning stage 4 which is similar to the btr stage 4.

That's a huge gain right there with basically the addition of ported heads, better intake/TB setup, and the meth. I assume the BTR Stage 4 cam is bigger than the one you had prior, but can't be that much bigger.
