Default Absolute Speed H/C Package dyno #'s...

My buddy just got his '02 Trans Am WS.6 back from getting his Absloute Speed H/C package installed. Before he got the H/C package, his car dynoed 340hp and 370tq at the wheels. The mods he had when he dynoed it before are:

Hooker LT's
Hooker ORYP
SLP LM
SLP Lid/filter
Hypertech
4.10 gears through Moser 12 bolt

Mods done for recent dyno:
H/C Package:
Absolute Speed Stage II 4.8 Liter Heads
Comp Cams 232/228 585/575 114LSA
Absolute Speed Throttle Body
Stock timing chain and stock pulley, and he can still run leaner safely

Dyno Numbers after H/C package and tuning:

440 RWHP
410 RWTQ

All work was done at Absolute Speed and Dyno Tuning was done at Vette Dr.'s in Long Island.

Very stout through a 12bolt! Any graphs? I will say that Jay @ AS are always delivering kickass results.

Nice numbers, can't wait to see the graph!! By the way, how in the **** did he dyno so much torque before the cam and heads with those bolt ons?? Just blows my mind how off some cars can be from others with the same mods. My car always showed more HP than TQ, with the lid, headers, etc I was 340hp, and 333tq, nuts how some get so much torque.

Those are some great gains. Especially through a 12 bolt, no cutout no pulley and air filter in. Tell your buddy to hit the track with that beast.

Old track # 1/4 mile was a 12.4 on a set of et streets.. We'll see the gain if his clutch can hold a pass..

What are 4.8L heads? Do you have to call to order them or is this a typo? Supposed to be 5.3L?

Not a typo, they are the heads that Jay used in his package deal he offered a couple of months ago.

I thought 4.8 and 5.3 heads were the same. I was under the impression that the only difference was that the 5.3 has a longer stroke.

Jay's heads kick ***, it doesn't matter which heads they are they all flow great.
Was that dyno done on a Dynojet or a Mustang dyno?
