Default 224/224 .561/.561 110lsa+4 H/C dyno results inside

Just got back from Lamar Walden Automotive, where I had my tuning done.
Here's what I've got:
-224/224 .561/.561 110lsa 4deg advanced
-Ported LS1 heads 2.02int 1.60ex valves-heads flowed 273int and 200ex
-Stock pulley, stock rockers, stock LS1 intake.
-Slp longtube headers with true duel 3" exhaust and single chamber flowmaster mufflers
-LS1 Edit tuning

with belt on 390.02 hp 385.46 tq
with belt off 405.31 hp 395.45 tq

I was planning on retarding this cam alot but wasn't able to without flycutting the pistons, so I just installed it like it's ground, with 4*advance. she peaks out hp wise at 6,000 rpm and torque peak is at 5,000 rpm.

I can't wait to get it to the track, and I REALLY can't wait to run into an '03 cobra on the street

retarding it would of increased piston to vavle clearance, not decreased it.

Well, you're right that it would create more clearance on the intake valve side, but I found that retarding the cam was not possible, because this created problems with the piston hitting the exhaust valve on it's way up before starting the intake stroke. I tried 6* retarded and the piston would actually contact the exhaust valve on it's way up, I then tried 4* retarded with the same result. I then skipped 2* retard and just installed it dot to dot, and I had at least .100 clearance on both intake and exhaust, so I let it ride. I might be able to get away with 2* retard, but I don't know. I think the 110 lsa is what makes p/v clearance such an issue. I also think the machine shop I used may have cut more than I wanted when they resurfaced the heads , I told them to only take .010 but who knows. When I put forged pistons in with valve reliefs, I'll retard it as far as I can.

Seems about right to me. He's got 4.10's and appears to have the LS1 intake manifold. The LS6 manifold will probably gain another 15-20rwhp with the help of the other mods.
