Default Lq4 6.0 dyno numbers

So I finally finished my build and got it tuned by Mike Norris. Here is the setup

99 Trans Am
stock cube 2000 lq4 with factory ls1 crank ARP rod bolts
Stock ls6 intake and Stock ported throttle body
pacesetter longtubes
Phab x-pipe
BTR custom grind cam 237/252 .622/.596 113
FTI 4400 converter and RPM built trans
Fluidampr
36# injectors
FTP lid
Chris 1313
and stock 799 heads.
Herr are the numbers it made on his dyno with the converter locked and unlocked.

I am def not an expert but it seems like there would be a lot more with that cam and supporting mods if you ported the heads. I thought 317s were the stock LQ4 heads?

But that said over 400 at the wheels is no slouch!!

Looks real good. Should run strong. Power still carrying great at 7300rpm. I bet she'd really like a FAST.

Stock heads are 317's but I bought it as a shortblock and threw my stock 799 heads on it. I thought about porting and milling the heads some but got a goal of running 10.9 first then going crazy lol.

I've thought about throwing a fast intake on it down the road sometime soon also!

A stall that high is probably never going to make sense numerically on the dyno, I found this out the hard way. Unless your engine modifications are performed on the same converter as the baseline before mods, dyno numbers are almost useless unless you use the dyno to see gains from fueling and ignition timing.

Wow ever even knew there was a reply on this lol. Ya I ended up running it and ran the 10.9 pass I wanted. Ended up selling the car to my brother and now have a 2000 1SC SS 6 speed car.

1.4x 60’ and if I remember right mph was like 124. I’d have to dig around for the slip.

Pretty close to full weight, never really weighed it after pulling the front and rear supports pulled, front sway bar was pulled as was the rear seats, no a/c, no power steering with a looped factory rack. Other than that it was stock suspension. The car ran 11.37 with the old setup I have on here somewhere.

Sounds like you do have a bit of weight pulled for sure, but obviously nothing crazy. I know when my buddy pulled about 200 lbs out of his Mustang he dropped 3/10's and gained 2 mph

Ya haha but definitely not 200 pounds worth I wouldn’t think haha. I know it weighed 3485 with me in it before I pulled the stuff listed.
