Exactly, big hammer hits it on the head as usual! I didnt keep mine long as it was 10x harder to clutch kick (basically a rolling burnout at 50mph) with only 400hp, but I really want to try it again for a drag car. I know Hio has done a lot of drag racing with his button clutch, I'm pretty sure he loves it and has no issue with the "you have to have more inertia in the flywheel" mentality.

Yea i love mine. I will say i think optimal is probably around 25lb tho. Unless you only roll race....the 2lb be even better.

Awesome car! Makes me miss my stock internal 11.68 Camaro! It was NBM as well. Now I might have to find whoever bought it and buy it back...

Any updates on the blue car?

It's one of those cars on this site that is one of my favorites.

No. He has some small mods in the works but he’s been busy renovating his house so he can sell it and build a new one. Silly life gets in the way of what’s important

Small update to all my adoring fans, now that ive finished fixing and selling my house, i was some free time while the new one is getting build. Finally addressing some issues from last year and install a few more goodies to get me closer or into thoses 11s

Trans was starting to show signs of abuse and wear so i had it rebuild with the usual upgrades, new blocker rings, bronze shift pads, billet keys and steel 3/4 shift fork, and due to removal issues 5/6 gear and main shafts. Spent some time to check the clutch over for wear, all looked well. Should have done this last year, but made some inspection/vent holes in the bellhousing, never felt confidant with my TOB measurements and wanted to check disc to flywheel clearance as well and ensure that the master cyl was dialed in.

While i had the time, decided it was time to install the BMR tubular K that went on sale in the fall time and figuired i may as well do a crank scrapper while i was 3/4 of the way there. Aiming to head to the track this weekend too see what this is all worth and will report back if progress and or the results

Update, struggled with the summers heat to best my 12.19 from last fall but all is not lost.Despite near freezing temps the last week or so, the weather managed to cooperate today with temps in the upper 50s. Since my last post ive installed a clutch tamer and i owe some of todays success to it, with my best 60' of 1.63 with out exploding the 10bolt, it certainly was doing its job. Little more tuning, some minor air box mods and dropping more then a 10th on the 60s we manged many 12.0x and two 11.98s and it picked up 2 MPH since last fall.

Man this car is quite similar to mine. Both 99's with the exact same mods except I have the older Fast 90 instead of the 92, although mine was ported by Vengeance so they should be pretty similar I would imagine. Last time at the track in the hot florida summer I only got to make one pass and went something like 13.0xx at 113mph with a sweet 2.2 60ft lol. Still pretty hesitant to launch it like you do with the stock 10 bolt lol. That was with stock 3.42 gears and heavy C6 wheels and street tires. It might have even been with my old LS6 intake too, I cant remember if that was before I swapped to the Fast or not. Pretty awesome what these things can do with just bolt ons. Im itching to see what I can do with a better launch, 4.10's and some lighter wheels.
