The only thing that concerns me is that the SDPC site say's that this cam has a smaller base circle, and requires longer push rods(7.450) is this true, or not? Im installing it in a 2002 LQ4.

This is true. I have also heard that the stock LS1 pushrods are about 7.37", so actually a 7.425" pushrod would be better. I'm running 7.450" pushrods with my LS6 cam and it runs great.

Forgive me but when you say LS1,LS6,LQ4, and LS9 is that like to ID the year of the engine? Im trying to order a rebuild kit for my 2002LQ4, what oil pump do I get, are all the gaskets the same, are all the bearing the same size?
