Default Bone stock 5.3/ebay turbo/6psi

motor is a bone stock 5.3
fast 92/92 intake
stock cam/heads/valve springs
Ebay "gt45"- 6 psi for now. waiting on better fuel system before i turn the boost up

Overall i am pretty impressed, made more power than i was hoping for on just 6 psi

Well i just got my new 83lb injectors. and it should have came with a fuel pump i ordered also but it wasnt in the package so i got to figure out what happened to that

Turbo-Got for 50$ from a buddy
Intercooler and piping-250
Bov-105
Wastegate-320
3.5" and 2.5" stainless for hotside-180
Oil drain/feed-75
Misc.-100ish

So probably just over 1000 for the turbo parts.

Spent 400 on the motor
550 on 83lb injectors and a DW pump
240 on the brand new cam
300 for a set of 317's to be ported and milled for 9.3cr

Cool setup. I would look into getting some better valve springs before you turn the boost up.

he has a cam he is putting in he mentioned earlier in the thread so i would imagine that hes going to upgrade the springs at that time and then turn up boost

I don't know a lot about turbo's but I do know a lot of members on here run ARP rod bolts when turning up the psi. although the motor is decently cheap I would hate to see all this hard work go to waste from something in the bottom end coming loose. awesome numbers though, can't wait to see the final numbers with all the new toys installed

Nice results, is the FAST 92 a bit much on a stock bottom end 5.3? I wonmder what you would make with just an ls6.

Im a huge fan of the 5.3 turbo setups, have been for years.... I built a 5.3 turbo setup a few years ago that put down over 600hp and still is alive, it is still being used in a DD vehicle lol!

Most of it is in the tune! Make sure you are running a good tune and itll live for a LONG time!

Rod bolts are upgraded when RPMs increase. The additional stresses of turbo charging do not put additional stress on the rod bolts in itself. Increases in RPMs do.

What is the AR on the turbo that you are using? That is exactly the power I am looking for with my build. I am guessing that it is a t66 gt45, I just need to know the ar.
