first dyno a lil disapointed

Default first dyno a lil disapointed

just got back from the dyno i did 4 runs each around 320rwhp and rwtq around 335. the thing that pisses me off is that they took HPP3 out and everything went up. my car is running lean too and i have to wait to get the predator to get my air/fuel ration right. are they typical number for the mods that i have done?

Everything went up, HP/TQ wise?

I have heard very few good complimants about HPP3. Get yourself LS1Edit or HPTuner and do the tuning yourself

Seems good to me.. that's ~400 ish crank shaft HP. I'd be very happy if I was dynoing ~336 RWHP... I'm only around ~357 crank HP right now. Although I think the slowmaster exhaust is costing me some.

was you at wyans dyno yesterday? i was there too but not sure on your car if i seen it
i got there around 10:30am and left at around 2. i was in a silver Z28 with the primer front end. are you around j-ville? if so swing out to jerssy mikes on saterday nights aaround 6:30 and hang out some time a bunch of use meet out there and hang out
let me know if you need any help or what not ill do my best ot help if i can

yea i was at waynes ill be at jersey mikes saturday. do u know of any place i could get 3.73 gears installed i went to east coast performance and they said it wouldnt shim up right i have pics ill bring them with me but if u know anyone that is good i would appriciate it?

I too was at waynes yesterday and was dissapointed with my numbers. I was at 310rwhp and expected 10-15 more. But I was with a bunch of mustang guys that normally dyno around 500 rwhp and were only around 470 yesterday, so maybe it was more about the conditions or dyno than our cars. I am putting mac headers and 3.73 gears on tomorrow so hopefully that will help and drive much better.

im still pissed about that hypercrap BS now i have to buy the predator so i can fix my air/fuel ratio i was running lean and it is makin my engine knock a lil bit

Where are you NC guys from. I'm on this little *** Island 45 mins. from wilmington. I have been looking for someone close buy that does ls1 tunning or at least someone with a dyno. I cant find any in wilmywood.

in jacksonville there is waynes dyno and performance he has a dyno there. do u have a tuner?

IMO those numbers aren't to bad. It took my 01 WS.6, a lid, k&n, g-maf and gutted cats to get to 320. Oh, and the HP3 tunning never worked on my car either, I just used it for it's other functions.

as far as a gear install i know wayne can do it but not sure on other places around here. 320 dont sound 2 bad for your mods and threw a A4, that about normel. fro mwhat i have seen. hope ot see you saterday night come on out we will be there
you are more than welcome too sfwalters the more the better.

Tranzaman00 we are in j-ville and waynes dyno is the closet place ot get dynoed at around here, as for tunning jeff crech in duram NC can can dyno tune.

wall want ot get up some time pm on where with numbers and let me know

durham is between raigh and winston salm so around 3 hours depending on trafic

Hey, I was there yesterday too. Pulled my JET chip out (came with car) and gained 1hp........

Going to the Dyno kinda sucks because you think your car has more HP for the money we spend and it don't. I Dynoed yesturday and my first run was 330.3 with 346.3tq with my HPP3 MTI lid, pully, and Magna Flow muffler. I put 330 last year with only the MTI lid. The car started to ping then the computer took over and took timing out. My second run I opened up my cut out and put down 335.8 with 353.4tq. I thought I sat around 350-360 because of the cars I beat. I'm starting to think I really did bend my pushrods.

Hey Jacksonville Guys,

I was at the dyno day also with the Silver TA.

nyg215 you were kinda leaving when I was getting there so I didn't get a chance to talk to you, but JoeMack I talked to you.

I only put out 327 when I had a cam, exhaust, airlid, and crane gold 1.8 roller rockers, so i wouldn't be mad at all with your 320 man, but the car runs strong so thats what matters to me anyway.

Numbers look pretty good for an A4, I have seen less with an m6. Just save ur money till u can get hp tuenrs or ls1edit.

Dont wast more money on the predator.
