295 RWHP WITH LT's, Lid, Borla ????????
Yes, that is what my car pulled today on it's initial run today, with Kooks LT's w/ cats, a lid and Borla c/b (3/4 open) and 3.73's. 295.6! Could that possibly be right??????? I assumed I was putting that down bone stock !!!!!
The only thing I'm thinking is that when I brought it in, I was throwing a 420,430 and 1130 SES code. I never got to talk to the guy when I went to pick up the car, but could that have been a real bad header leak that he fixed between the first and second run (330.8) ???? I read on here somewhere that those 3 codes were exhaust related and "shouldn't hurt performance" at all. I would say 35 rwhp is hurting performance no?

Before: 295.6 rwhp, 311. tq
After : 330.8 rwhp, 347. tq

I should have been more specific - I brought the car in for a tune, but also asked them to diagnose the codes I was throwing. So I figure I probably got the average 10HP from the tune - the rest must have been from a header leak that was resolved after the first run.
anyone care to confirm?
hugger - thanks for the compliments - please don't include "295HP" on that wallpaper

I guess the question I'm asking is this - was that just a fluke run on the first time or could whatever was causing those codes (header leak?) really have hurt my performance that much???
I think this would be a helpful thing for a lot of guys on here to know, especially guys like me who drive around with their SES light on and not getting it fixed because the codes are emissions related!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After my headers install i ran 3mph slower than before (107mph) because of the SES light.... I fixed that and i ran almost 112mph... So yes SES light could hurt performance by making the car run rich especially when you have an 02 sensor to be the problem. The Long Fuel Trims will be all over the place due to the bad 02 sensor or headers leak.

When the car is in LIMP MODE(SES light is on) The pcm will pull timing and add fuel, therefor causing a major loss in power. So that right there is where your loss in power was.

The first two are hurting you. I doubt the last one is
420 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency
430 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2
1133 - HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1
