done with non sponsored cars or AFR heads? or guys that were already near the threshold and just added say an lsx intake or something? i dont think any of the new round of cams have broken the mark besides a one or two. im refering to n/a 346 - 348's btw.

Yeah I would like to see some more combos too.
Hopefully, in a year or so I'll be in this range. I'm looking at the F13 and TEA 1.5 5.3L hand finished heads. It will be a lot like Josh's (Damian) setup, but I'm going to run different bolt ons and probably some other stuff a little different (cam specs and valvetrain). I don't like copying, but it's a great setup and I haven't seen anything that will have the power and drivability for the price. And besides, everyone can't have a different heads/cam setup, there's only so many out there.
And I can't afford a forged setup or a complete engine like JRP
I feel like the next best thing is a good heads/cam setup. If I had the money I would get TEA to work some LS6 or AFR heads. But so much money

With the heads that TEA and Brandon Aders (same guy who hand ported Damians heads) did in this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...light=whoopass
A local guy here in Tampa did 478 rwhp on a stock bottom end 346 vette with approx 10.5 to 1 compression with the T rex cam through full exhaust and no belts removed. FAST 90 MM intake as well. These heads were also less than ideal for this motor since they were originally setup for a 4.060 bore with 2.08 valves. It was also the intent to use a sheetmetal intake for these heads due to the raised runner. As it was he used an LSX 90 mm intake that was port matched as good as possible. Lots were left on the table with this setup.
With 12 to 1 compression and the correct intake along with the correct intake valve size and chamber setup i would have expected this to be over 500 rwhp easy.

Who is Brandon Aders? Does he work at TEA? He obviously knows how to hand finish these heads with the best of them, and I would like to be able to talk to him.

Hey Jerami, im going with a f13 and a set of the ls6 style heads from ffhp. I hope i get close to 450, but i think it will be more like 430. I still have the stock 10 bolt w/ 373's and i will put the stock wheels back on if i have to, lol.

JRP: we did a set of our stage II's with out 234/242/110 cam and it put down 451rwhp through FLP headers / FLP cats and Magnaflow exhaust. This was back in August. CR on this one was 10.6:1 and a daily driver.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this was through a Moser 12 Bolt with 4.11's...

I've always enjoyd the reading of you trying so many cams and having data to back it up.
