I wouldnt exactly scoff at 450whp. There are alot of guys that spend a ton of money and expect 450+ hp and cant ever reach it. Not everyone in real life situations gets the numbers that people online do. I notice by your sig you are pretty far off being there. Be careful of getting caught up in what people advertise.

Good post....

Dyno numbers and flow numbers have ALOT in common....both are more credible at "independent" facilities that have no axe to grind and nothing to "prove".

Some of the big numbers that you have seen advertised...(and I'm NOT mentioning names) have had some pretty "clever" situations which have pumped the #'s higher....an A+ for ingenuity but a C- for credibility.

Tony. This has probably been answered in other posts, but when will we see the 62cc 225's? And what will be the largest cam that can be run with out piston notching on the stock internals? I would like to hit that 500rwhp mark.
p.s. If I just hijacked this thread then please delete this post.

Notice he said full out combo. I'm assuming he means a very radical setup.

I pretty sure cartek and Lg both had cars with alittle over 500 hp a year ago both h/c vettes. I know rapid has had some too. Id think without a solid cam or crazy compression that would be on the high end.

Allan Futral, or Lee (Fear the LS1) has/had the most power out of a 346-348 CID motor. I believe J-Rod had the most out of a pump gas car however I could be wrong. Wait a little while and I'm positive there will be someone who blows those numbers way way out of the water

Didn't his Camaro make 484 RWHP with a stock displacement solid roller setup? I know that was about 2 years ago so I assume that has been surpassed.

I know of four Hydraulic roller 346s over the 500 mark:
Rapid
Cartek
LG

Alittle off topic, but obviously by my sig I port heads. Its funny when I go to local places to use their SF600 to get heads flowed and my flow numbers are the same or lower then what people advertise on their heads. Funny thing is that mine are better done and low and behold they make better power on the dyno. As they say, its hard to compete with a ghost.

you my friend are truely a retard. i said a FULL OUT 346. can you not read? and no i do not have 450rwhp not even close, that was never my point. my point was someone said ( ithink it was you) that 450rwhp was all these engines could make on a 346 no power adder and such. WRONG, these engines can make way more than 450rwhp that was my point, im sorry if that goes over your head, go back to school and learn how to read and comprehend...

Hey thanks for the compliment. Since I'm a retard, maybe I should quit my six figure job you punk ***. Probably 4 times the cash you bring home. And by the way, when did this become YOUR thread where YOU can make the rules?!?!?! If you read my original AND subsequent posts, I did NOT STATE that I was looking at a FULL OUT 346. I stated that w/o the aid of nitrous, forced induction, or a stroker motor AND runs on pump gas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll bet that you would be hard pressed to find one that puts out 500 rwhp. Go do the research in the ET database if you don't believe me!!

From some of the posts, it looks like Rapid Motorports has one, and maybe a few solid roller cams motors as well.......

And by the way: GROW UP!!!!!!

I think you're reffering to Fear the LS1 here if I'm wrong sorry for assuming wrong...

I don't think we're talking just RWHP here since all the drivetrains are different. I would assume with a 6 speed in that car it would have dynoed near what Allan cranked out.

Whoa, settle down there.

I think full-out means all the bolt-ons, like FAST 90, EWP, Underdrive Pulley, etc etc. Btw, you can run 11.3~11.5:1 CR or so with a big cam on 93 octane.

As an example, I'm pretty sure an MS3 (237/242 113lsa) with AFR 225s milled to 58cc (so gotta wait for the 62cc version), LG Headers without Cats, FAST 90, ASP Pulley, B&B Bullets and a VaraRam will make around 515rwhp in an M6 Vette. Not only that, it'll be drivable, especially with 3.90s in the rearend. Or at least that will be my setup. Of course flycutting will have to happen, but it should be around ~11.2:1 CR, so it'll run on 93 easily with the overlap the MS3 provides.

How does that sound, Tony?

Hey, thanks for sharing your knowledge. That's exactly what I was looking for. Hopefully, we've rid this thread of the little teeny boppers that are still living with their parents.

I always appreciate professonalism
