Got it idling @ 850rpms. Originally had it at 1100rpms, but it just didn't have the lope & shake that I'm fond of. I've had about 2 hours worth of tuning & now the car drives exactly like stock. I get a little dip in the rpms if I come to a fast stop, or a slow roll @ lower rpms the car surges just a tad.

Overall I'm super-impressed w/the cam. I couldn't ask for anything more. I researched cams for a good 2-3 months before making my purchase, it was the best one I've made to date w/either f-body that I've owned.

I had a pretty well-known tuner from the local area do it. The guy is gifted, plain and simple. Who would've thought you could make a cam like mine drive almost exactly like stock, just w/more lope?

BTW, I have a shaner TB, forgot to list it.

I also looked around was going to get the trex but I think its to big for my first cam and I only read good things about the fm13.I am going to ask my tuner if can set my idle about 8 900rpm to get to chop I hope he can get 400+the lowest I have seen on a fm13 was 370 380 with a mail order tune

If you've got a GREAT tuner, 400+ is achievable. 2 hours total of tuning for my car, with only half an hour on the dyno. That is damn impressive.

I am a little jealous here. I have pretty much the same set-up and stall as you with a 224/224 570 lift cam with a 114 lsa and got 355 rwhp at 333 torq.

That was also tuned by Jeff Creech.

Is it my cam? I would love to get closer #'s like that. But then again the smog laws a stiff in Calif. But I tought they where strict in Arizona also?

AZ is nowhere near as strict as Cali. I don't know if you guys have the roller test or not. We just have the plug in to OBD2 and we're done. Many, many cars have passed emissions w/cams here bigger than 224's. The only thing we share is the **** 91 octane.

The guy knows tuning like no other. I knew he was good, but after spending several hours w/him over the past week the guy is just brilliant & happens to know a whole lot more than what people give him credit for.

Thanks for the words....we'll see if it converts to an all-important great track time.

Dynojet. That'd be some insane power if it was on a mustang dyno.

wow... now i cant wait to see what my slightly bigger f14 makes, especially with no cats and imo the best tune/tuner money can buy in cam motorsports.

I'm sure a good tune should get you more HP with your Cam. I got 362RWHP with my TR220 551lift cam
