Default New bolt-on Dyno Record????

Welp, I dont know if this is a record, but its damn sure got to be close. Couple buddies of mine went to Dyno at James' at RWTD yesterday and had some great luck! My buddies car is a 98 z28 with headers, cutout, ls6 manifold, TUNE by John Weeks (John02SS).....and the majority of the rest of the bolt ons. These numbers are VERY stout out of a bolt on car. Also, there are a few board member who can testify to this, including James, the owner of RWTD. And the dyno was checked for calibrations and everything before and after he made the pulls. These numbers are CORRECTED.

379.94 HP @ 5600 rpms
388.86 ft/lbs 4400 rpms.....

Flame away fellas, but this one is real. I too have never seen anything like this. Car did not have the A/C belt on, thru a cutout.

We have dyno sheets to prove it, and im sure James wouldnt mind if you contacted him for proof. The bar has been raised fellas!

Car has:

ls6 manifold
mac headers and o/r y
cutout
B&B triflow
ported TB
ported MAF
Aluminum DS
3.73's
z06 clutch
ls6 valley cover
KNN FIPK
Tuned by John weeks (John02SS)

And thats it, typical bolt on car. Doesnt even have a pulley, and has MACs.....And the car PULLS STRONGGGG. Guess he just got a good one. Only bad part is, as we mod it more, it will probably level out with everyone.....yall know how that **** goes.

I drove the car quite a bit last night and it feels pretty strong. Tune was dead nuts on with just a street tune. 13:1 AF, 29 degrees of timing. I was very surprised with the results to say the least. We even ran the car against a 400-410 rwhp car (SilverLS1) to see how we did and the out come was as would be expected with with a 25 rwhp difference.

SilverZZ28,
Damn shame I can't tune LT1's! Hell, I might could even make it fast!

Mike, how does it feel to be the proud owner? Damn nice numbers no matter how you got them. That's gotta make the big boy grin a bit!

BTW, cruising in stealth mode (quiet) with the cool breezes blowing probably will cost about 25, but you are ready for a blast just by flipping a couple of switches. Maybe only one, I forget, doesn't WOT kill the AC compressor? Now that's double your fun!

How much did it make through the B&B Triflow?

People say it flows like crap, but I'm not so sure... I have one and I'd be interested in how much was gained from the cutout

if you didn't get numbers through the exhaust, see if you can do it next time through exhaust and through cutout to compare
