Default Dyno #’s difference between street tires and slicks?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with the difference between dyno #’s with street tires vs. slicks.

What would be the difference between dyno #’s;
Budnick 17x11 with 315 Nitto’s @ 48lbs
vs.
Bogarts 15x10 with 26x11.5 QTP slick @ 30lbs

My past dyno numbers were on the Nitto’s and I trying to get to the dyno next week to see how the new set-up dyno’s.

What do you think?

I always heard that a street tire with 30psi air or so was best. Thats where I dynoed my car with teh 315x35x17 Nittos

Ive heard that too but could be wrong, i dunno.. My old 99z was dynoed w/ 315/35 nitto Dr's w30psi to get 388rw locked and my SS was dynoed w/ 275/40 nittos but not sure what psi. Im sure a few dyno tricks were used to get that 846rw number though. Down here in the humid south i'll prolly lose a good bit

i have personally dynoed my car with the exacty same wheels (15x8 prostars). one with 275 drag radials and one with et drags. i went from 328 on the et drags to 340 on the radials.

no doubt i lost big time with the slicks.

Hmm, interesting. Any idea on how psi affects dyno numbers?

I'd be curious to see back to back runs with heavy street rims vs lighter drag rims.

I dont think its so much the weight as the slicks start to "cup" at high MPH even when aired up. I dynoed 522 rwhp with 28x10.5 slicks and you could see the big "dent" in the tire even as it was spinning at 150+ mph on the roller. Im sure that hurts #s.

I will be dynoing soon with the slicks and some radials on Z06 rims back to back.
Maybe in two weeks.

Allan @ FMS told me he usually always see's lower dyno #'s w/slicks vs. radials on the same car.

Couldn't say why.... just that he does.
IMO.... you'd "think" you'd see a higher # w/slicks as they grow at speed changing the effective ratio to a higher(numerically lower)gear.

I just dyno'd yesterday....457/426 w/4.56's/28" ET Streets.... wonder what that
would've been w/26" or even 28" radials?
