Matt - Price does matter. I just priced all the components of your mail order Stage 4 cam and head package. You quoted $2800 for the stage 4 AFR 225 heads including shipping in another thread (big mistake). The package sells for $5350.00, the parts MINUS the V3 cam go for no more than $3850.00. The only missing link is the CAM, which by subtraction prices out at $1500.00. The stage 4R package with the V3.1 cam being the only difference between the stage 4 and 4R sells for $200 more, bringing the price of that cam to $1700.00. Need I say more?

If I was gonna buy one of your head and cam packages I'd go for the stage 3. The 205 heads are 200.00 bucks cheaper and the stock GM gasket kit is cheaper than the Felpro one. The V3 cam in the stage 3 package can be had for the bargain basement price of 1300.00 bucks. lol

Guess we now know why you won't sell the cam seperately, CAUSE NO ONE WOULD BUY IT.

SilverSurfer, do a line by line price quote of what you are decribing. I am not getting the same numbers.

I can't find that post from Matt about the price of the AFRs. Our package includes porting and polishing of the heads. Did that 2800 price shipped include P&P?

Yes I did quote the $2800 price in a thread a long time ago. Prices change, oh well. Look at any of the other shops you're looking at $2600-2800 + $1200 cores = $4000 just for heads. You dont like my prices, dont buy my packages. Oh well.

Yes, the heads are $2800 free shipping to anywhere in the U.S. Includes gold dual springs, titanium retainers, seats, seals, 2.08/1.60 valves, fully assembled and valves are lapped in by hand.

This is still the current special you're running so how did prices change? Here's a quote from your website where you list the newly released mail order C/H pkgs , including the STAGE 4........

TTP Heads/Cam Packages

"Home of the World's Highest Dynoing Heads/Cam Stock Bottom End Car - 505rwhp/436rwtq"

All TTPerformance heads/cam packages are completed in house. We start with an Air Flow Research 205cc or 225cc CNC-cut head. The heads are then disassembled in house. Porting is completed to the intake runners to match with the intake manifold runners, so there is no restriction or turbulence. The exhaust ports are finished to match with the proper headers or exhaust manifolds. Then the heads are hand polished. After the porting is complete, every intake and exhaust valve is manually lapped by hand. Heads are reassembled and boxed for delivery

Notice the part about porting and polishing.

Price breakdown of Stage 4 C/H mail order pkg. as follows (items not on your website I sourced from another sponsor that listed it.)

1. AFR 225 stage 4s price quoted by Matt, (TTP) 2800
listed as PORTED on TTP website
2. Pushrods (TTP) 110
3. Timing chain (TSP) 120
4. 30 lbers (TTP) 300
5. GM Gasket kit (SDPC) 280
additional for Felpro head gaskets (estimate) 140
6. 100 extra bucks thrown in your favor 100

Total MINUS Cam 3850.00
TTP price for Stage 4 pkg 5450.00

V3 cam price 1600.00

Edit: Re-read my other post. I originally threw in 200 bucks in your favor. lol

So re-adjusted cam price $1500.00

PS - Gasket matching is NOT considered porting by professional head porters.

Smooches.

What are the specs on the G5X4? I saw that the G5X3 is 232/240 on 114 and want to know how much bigger the X4 is.
