Jeremy I did a 218-224 527-534 114+4 waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2000
I had macs,ory,dynomouth,pulley,ptb,ls6 int,lid,160.

Threw my A4/3.73's tuned by Ed wright over the net it dynoed
360ish RWHP,I dont remember the tq but it was close to the hp

Idled perfectly...
That was a old XE grind,in an LS1...
Car ran high 11.40's@116

I'd say in your LS2 and TR 220 on a 114 would be just about perfect for an everyday driver...I have always had good results with those TR grinds.

I had all the boltons with a 222/222 cam. On speed inc's dyno the car made 423hp(I think their dyno was WAY out of wack) and I ran 12.1's @116-117mph on some old cheeter slicks. I later went to a different dynojet and got 394hp from the same combo. Then I went to a mustang dyno and got 370hp. The car drove like stock with that little cam.

Smaller cams don't kill your valve springs either. My big cam 23x/24x and over .600 lift requires me to consider changing my springs at 15000 miles. You small cam guys don't have to worry about that extra maintainence. Kind of a PITA but gotta love making 490 rwhp 445 rwtq and pulling on the top end like a pissed off mule. LOL. 203 mph top speed so far. Verified by the police officer that stopped me.

Truth to the whole changing you springs every 1x,XXX miles. It's nice to be able to just stick a cam in and go ( low lifters). But then again that's a trade off you have to look at when going with smaller cams. Not to my knowledge, but only way to pick up the torque is going with a high lift cam ( Feel free to correct me if I am worng).

I am also looking at a few sub 220 cams to pull off 400 rwhp. TSP looks like they are going to win, but I haven't decided just yet.

Default Lpe Gt11

Have you looked at the LPE GT11?

I have a similar cam from LPE (except for 1.8 RAR and less lift) that is more docile in a big motor than the stock LS6 cam in a 5.7. It's very drivable (the wife can't tell the difference) and makes pretty good power (469.02 rwhp @ 6000 and 446.81 rwtq @ 5200 ) with a decent torque spread (over 400 ft/lbs from 2600 to 6300) and 360 ft/lbs at 1500 rpm.

I believe that the torque figures might have been a bit higher with the L92/L76 combo due to the L76 runner length and volume, but I wanted the option to go to a more aggressive cam (LPE GT19 or Katech KAT-4727) later on and felt the LS7 heads would be of more benefit the final package.

I had a MTI T1 cam in a 98 z28. 380hp/373ishtq. It had only mac headers and stock catback with bullet muffler. I was on a small budget. Mac headers were used, thanks Ben Russick!

made 363 rwhp 363 rwtq through an auto (340tq+ from 3000-5400) (350hp + from 5300-6500)
stock heads 241
stock intake manifold
stock throttle body
headers
catback
pulley

custom cam is less then 215 on both intake and exhaust and the idle is seriously stock sounding (nobody will notice it). no need to modify the idle tables and btw this was on electronic throttle ls1 idles nice at about 580-630 rpm. Pm me if you need the specs

the dyno is of a chevrolet caprice ss (middle eastren version of the holden commodore)

with home ported heads (stock valves) the car made about 404/398

Pm me if you need the specs
