On a side note, if I could go back and do it again from stock to H/C/I, all the work, and countless logs and adjustments to the tune.
I would of just swapped in a gen IV or V 6.2, or even a Procharger on the stock LS1
I got the elgin 1839 220/224 286/282 .575 lift 112lsa cam for my auto because of the stock torque converter. It made 349whp/351wtq thru the auto c5 with an oval air filter and set of headers.
Some of these young ones stuck on social media need some of this info as they are struggling to even make what was done 15-20 years ago. The lack of good info and searching really leaves a lot of people in the dark.
10 years ago I took my decent cnc 243 58cc heads off my vette that made 501whp NA on my 383 and sold them to a local. Installed on a sbe 5.7, 227 230 LSL lobe cam dialed in with ls6 intake we made 457whp 407wtq.
