Looking at dropping in a 228 or 230 cam for an 2002 LS1 M6 stock rear (3.42):
Current setup:
SLP headers
SOON - upgraded TB w/bypass
160 therm
85mm Maf
CAI
ASP pulley
SLP dual exhaust w/cutouts in Y pipe(right behind the cats) -- see webpage
400# overstock on rear axle
Looking for a streetable, yet aggressive, all-around cam.
Seeking to obtain 385- 400 rwhlhp. Am I being realistic? I know this has been asked a thousand times, but every setup is different, and so I am seeking someone's opinion w/a similar setup as myself based on the aforementioned information.
Thanks
Mark

Yes, I have been looking very closely at the F11 and F13's....impressive numbers and come highly recommended!
Thanks for the confirmation! I am just concerned about the exhaust side of the equation as I will tune the car w/cutouts open, but run the streets w/them closed. There, in lies my concerns.

Bro this was my setup about 2 summers ago, stock LS6 heads. Initial dyno was 413 STD horsepower with a Vortex airbox and TPIS headers and random tech cats. Car ran 11.60@121.88 in 90 degree heat with a 1.88 sixty foot, then i broke the tranny and diff. Then a swap to a Halltech Stinger and Kooks headers no cats gave me 420/399 SAE. Then I added a set of AS stage 2.5 heads and power jumped to 447/405 SAE. Then I fought clutch gremlins all year and TQ management issues with my tune. Put it back to stock with the acception of AFR heads and here i am today. Just got my car back yestereday with a new clutch( 3rd clutch). Current combo is AFR heads, stock LS6 cam, Vortex airbox(Stinger replaced), SW longtubes headers running through factory Z06 cats. Very stealth sounding. New dyno #'s and track times comming soon. Now I don't know what cam to run after I found out my new CheaTR will put my DCR very hi! Looking at a C1 or C2-going oldschool! Sorry to Hi-jack this thread-the 228/230 cams work great!
