Default BONE stock LS1.. What kind of numbers on a mustang dyno?

Well there is a tech member right now claiming he put down 320RWHP BONE stock on a mustang dyno.. I am assuming he has a camaro or trans am.. from what he's been saying..

But what are the chances he puts down 320 RWHP on a mustang dyno.. considering most bone stock LS1's only put down around 290-300 RWHP on an SAE dyno?

Can someone chime in on this one? just wanting to know because he is claiming i have low numbers being through Full exhaust(flowmaster), unlocked verter, and A4 w/ a 9"..

I searched around and couldn't find any mustang dyno results.. only SAE!

Thanks guys! let me know

That 9" and flowmaster are killing you. You have an A4, a 9" is a bit extreme, a 12 bolt would have suited you better.

yea i know i thought about trading it out for a 12 bolt.. but i just planned on taking the car farther so i got the 9".. but now plans have changed and i'll probabaly get rid of my car.. if not i'm swapping for a 12 bolt.. i also need to open my cut out and get on an SAE dyno to see how much i'm really losing.. I know i lost about 20 at the wheels from the 9" on the dyno.. pretty crazy eh?

It sounds bloody unlikely, mate..., unless it was on a DynoJet

I think most bone stock LS1 fbodies probably dyno (Mustang) around 270, maybe 290 for WS6. Here's my Mustang dyno sheet, and I've got a ton of mods (see the sig).

But he's right about your numbers looking a little low. I would have figured 380/390 at least. Flowmasters aren't the first choice for maxing exhaust flow, if you know what I mean, but with your LTs and the cutouts, shoulda been higher numbers with that cam and those heads. I'd guess it's a combination of the gears and torque Converter, but my opinions are as humble as they get, and open to violent correction at times...

Yeah you don't need a 9" on an A4 car. The parasitic loss from the tranny is bad enough.

SAE is not the kind of dyno. It is the correction factor! You can get SAE numbers from any dyno, the brand does not matter.

It is only one of many varibles that are used for dyno testing.
