I'l differ with you there as I expect plenty of owners will mod their cars.

Those numbers look to be about dead on to what they should be. Again the TQ looks a little low but I imagine when TQ management is taken away it will come up a great deal.
I am going to have to agree with nine ball on the modding thing. I believe most owners wont do to much of anything to them. 65,000 plus is a hefty amount in my opinion and most will probably feel that 440RWHP in a 3100 pound car will mop up anything anyways for the most part.
Nine Ball car looks amazing my brother has ordered his 06 c6 black on black 6-speed Z51 we have a NX MAF kit setting here waiting for it along with a custom program(there running really rich from the factory) with a 100 shot of gas on a c6 should make about the same HP but the TQ of the nitrous is gonna be mad
The new Z06 c6 is gonna see taillights. Unless he has spray Then were in trouble lol.

Is it torque management or the fly by wire throttle? I have it in my truck and the delay is so annoying.

Yeah, that engine is gonna fly with minimal mods.

Weak sauce. I saw a Ford GT dyno put down 509rwhp. This is right on par with most SRT-10 Vipers. I was really expecting upper 400s out of a 427. I guess the GT is a couple hundred pounds heavier though.
Still a hell of a nice car.

Any guesses on a G5X4 + LG Longtubes? I'm guessing 520.

you expected more out of a 427ci, when the Viper's 500ci engine makes about the same power, rated at the same hp?

Ford GT's do not dyno at 500 rwhp stock. Probably had a smaller pulley on the blower.

haha you expect almost 500rw with that small of an emission friendly cam?

it's kinda like putting an older z06 cam in a 402

only stock GT dyno i could find...seem like it would be right around 500rw with some smoothing...

don't worry man the new Z will make near 600 to the ground after a big cam, exhaust, and the tuning bugs are worked out...

there are hydraulic 408's making just under 600 already...don't sweat it...

All the GT dyno's I've seen posted have been over 500rwhp, stock. However, it's not going to matter any. The Z06 isn't going to need all that power to do well, whether it be in a straight line, or at the track. I'd LOVE to be able to shed 500lbs off my Cobra.

1) Ford GTs dyno 500rwhp stock
2) Yeah I expected more from GM than I do from Dodge, is that so wrong?

Also remember back when the 8.0L viper only made mid-upper 300s? like the 94 era. Viper engines have never been efficient.
Its not even that I expected it, I just *hoped* for 470ish so you could atleast run with a strong head/cam 90/90 car.

what i am saying is that the 325hp numbers that gm claims on the stock fbody is really close to putting down 300 to the back tires. thats not a 20% loss. i just figured that it would be closer to advertised. either way great numbers. keep it up. cant wait to see the g7x numbers

so roughly 530 fwhp. not bad, def underrated. I expected them to be right around there.

Now this GT thing, theyre putting down 500rwhp (and hennessey dyno shows 515rwhp). Thats around 600 at flywheel. SOB How come i havent heard of this. Its still not turning good times yet though. if guys on here can turn a 11.7 in a C5 ZO6 then hell a C6 ZO6 will for sure run in the tens. i cant wait. I still doubt a GT will run better lap times than a Z, even with the extra power. apples and oranges in price...just wait till GM dumps out a $150K+ blue devil. Then well see how worthless a GT is.

thanks for showing some 500 rwhp Ford GT's. I guess the one I saw dyno was a factory turd, it only put down 465 rwhp. Of course, the blower was hot too.

like was said earlier, the cam is small for a 427,and i'm sure the factory tune is a little on the conservitive side.not trying to make excuses for the vette, but GM put together what they think is a well balanced package for the public, even if it's down on power compared to the GT.and at 3100lbs,that thing should scream.

well figure it this way. f bodies were under rated for 2 reasons:

1. insurance purposes

2. the vette is the top model. who in their right mind would want to spend 20k more for something that has the same power, thats just a little lighter?

Thats the way I look at it.
