Broken dyno or broken car? Dyno graph inside...
So, as I posted in another thread I got on a Dynapack 3000 last week. I got some pretty bad numbers. 265whp/295tq... I have an SLP air lid, SLP Dual/Dual w/ Spintech muffler a TSP224R 112LSA cam, TSP 7.400 pushrods, and Comp 918 valve springs. I'm running AC Delco Professional Iridium spark plugs with factory plug wires @ .040". I use HP Tuners for tuning, although I have yet to do much with it.
Here's the HP/TQ graph:
And here's the HP/AFR graph:
It seems to me that theres something wrong, something that I'm missing...
I dont know, any thoughts?

I don't know much about dyno numbers, but I know that even stock LS1's dyno higher than that. I mean damn with those mods I would think it would be in the mid 300's for hp at least...
Im gonna have to say their is something wrong with that dyno...

He said he's never dynoed an automatic, and I couldn't get the torque converter to co-operate either. It's showing that it's very rich after 5200RPMS even with the wideband after the cats on the tail pipe.
Does the car feel slow? Well, no, it's tough to tell though -- it's got 2.73's and I haven't gotten around to getting the SF3000 in it yet so it's kind of sluggish around town (where I do most of my driving right now). It pulls very hard in the top end, it seems to keep climbing -- the dyno shows the power dropping off pretty hard though.
He says his numbers are usually 10-15% lower than dynojets and the likes, but that still only puts me @ 295-305whp, which is still low as hell for my mods. I would think that it would dyno that without the cam.
Could the cam be pissed at my factory manifolds/cats? Could the factory cats be showing their age? 91,881 miles as of today. Compression and leak down tests were fine as well. HPTuners doesn't show any signs of knock, except when I advanced it to 29 degrees, it pulled .3* @ 5200 then the fuel injector duty cycle jumped from 72% to 82% and I got that huge dip in my A/F.
I'm going to have to wander over to Redline Motorsports to hit up their dyno and see what it says.

J Get it over to Redline and then go from there. I had my car only make 309 after putting the 30lb svo in it. It ran okay. My car should be back there next week for some tweaks and see if a muffler change picks up the Hp Figures. Later John

Make sure thats an LS1 in there and a 3.8. Just kidding.
I would say take it to Redline and see what they say. Hard to say at this point when it can be a dyno problem.
I had a 224/224 with stage 2 heads, a bunch of drivetrain loss, and I would only dyno abougt 345-350. Turned out the motor had gone to ****. A bunch of bearings were f'ed up, but still made mid 350's rwhp.

You want your A/F to be around 12.8-13.0

I'm thinking it's something with the cam install. Who did the install? It looks like it's peaking at 4800 rpm....a 224 cam should peak about 1500 rpm higher than that.
