Default FFHP 408 dino numbers

i dyno'd my FFHP 408 M6 last weekend in michigan by wheel to wheel powertrain i expected at least 500 hp i told my buddy anything over would be a gift-quess what santa came early -my final numbers 511 RWHP & 468 RWTQ

the 1st pull was 455 RWHP with the mail order tune. i almost cried
i was having a cold idle problem - so i went the night before dropped off the car took a taxi to the motel & came back in the morning. W2W said we only had a small window of time to tweak the cold idle. he fixed it

the car runs totally different the 408 is a real animal

my modifications are
FFHP long block=11 :1
TSP texas giant cam
stock ls6 intake
stock throttle body

That's on a mustang dyno too! Nice! What heads do you have on the car? Do you have any plans of doing a FAST 90 setup down the road?

Wow! Good #'s all that with a stock intake setup and the 11.1 comp ratio isn't all that high compared to some others out there. Congrats, it should be wicked when you do a 90/90 intake on it.

Good example of using the appropriate camshaft to keep the DCR where it should be. Awesome numbers for a dynojet, muchless a mustang dyno.

Sweet!
the heads are FFHP Stage 3 6.0 heads if I remember right, Brad will know the full specs and I am sure Hungarian will chime in.
I was pleased to hear your results Laslo especially considering what you had been through before you contacted us.
Get a FAST 90/90 and you should see a few more HP

its a 6 speed - with the mail order tune the car ran very jerky at low speeds
- no fun in town-
after w2w did the tune it is night & day different - close to perfect

w2w's dyno is quite stingy compared to other dynos as well...they do a lot of stuff for GM and it needs to be very accurate so they said most people will get higher numbers on other people's mustang dynos compared to theirs...
