n2o dyno, 346 AFR H/C..etc...
EDIT: I just posted a dyno jet graph.
The car was making good power N/A and the short block is a stock, so I didn't go to wild on the shot. Ended up with about an 80 shot. I also had to install a 255 inline fuel pump to go with the 255 in the tank. N/A power was up a bit do to dynoing with a lighter wheel...which was a stock 17x9 WS6 (skinny spoke) v a ROH 17x 9.5. I think the weight diff was about 8 lbs per wheel...but I could be wrong. Anyway...

damn those are extremely strong numbers. thats crazy that you made 481/441. i think thats the most i ever heard without being a shop car, and your combo is NOT extreme either. congrats!!
what gear did they dyno the car in? i was looking at the far left where it shows mph, and at 6700rpm your doing 87 mph?
would that be 3rd gear?

Awesome power N/A and on the spray. Was this a different car than the WS6 or Z06? The dyno says '01 SS. I'd love to hear more details about your combo as the numbers are very strong. Congrats.

That bump at 4000 is pretty typical from dynos I've seen when 346s are running pretty healthy cams. Basically, it's when the motor "comes on the cam" that you get that rise. Based on the early power and torque peak, I'd guess it's a narrow LSA cam with around a 42-43 degree IVC. Whatever it is, it looks like a good combination of parts.

Also, I have a hunch some fine tuning in the lower part of the curve would bring up the bottom a little and it wouldn't look quite as dramatic as it does now when it gets into it's sweet spot. Even a small shot of nitrous would show more of a defined spike which that is not. We found quite a bit of TQ and power under the curve when Charlie and I played with the tune in my car for hours on end....more than the typical guy has the time to do when he's paying for dyno/tuning time at a shop with a chassis dyno.
Excellent numbers for a mild, stock displacement H/C car!!

The cam is a MMS 229/229 114 57x lift.... The n2o pill was between a 75 shot and a 100 shot.
The car is my WS6...my girlfriend has a Camaro...I think the operator was distracted, lol
Yes, the car was dynoed in 3rd..the dyno has a 125 speed limit.

In my experience, I dyno less in 3rd gear vs. 4th, but the difference depended on how much gear I was running. IE, if I was running 3.42 gears, the difference was only 3-4 rwhp, but if I was running 4.10s, the difference was more like 7-8 rwhp. This is mainly because the motor revs so fast on the dyno in 3rd with 4.10 gears, quite a bit of extra hp is gobbled up just overcoming the rotational mass of the motor itself.

Bottom line, I dont want to get into a discussion about it here, even if you call it even (which I disagree with), there was certainly nothing helping power to the wheels by performing the dyno in 3rd gear.
I will do the same test next week with my 383 in the car and share the results with you guys when I do....

And you did it with 205's and a 229 cam, am I missing something (that's the first time I've used that smiley). Amazing set-up you have there.

I've seen several graphs of cars that had speed limiters. The last one I saw was an auto. The dyno was run in 2nd and 3rd to allow the top of the graph to be seen. There was a noticeable delta between the two graphs. My guess is a dyno in high gear might show some interesting numbers.
BTW, Dyno Dynamics dynos don't have a 125 mph limit on them that I'm aware of. I saw them in Australia, and I certainly believe the runs I saw were over 125. The other thing that is interesting is that a Dyno Dynamics dyno is supposed to read about 10% under a dynojet 248C.
So, factor in a high gear run, along with the 10% margin and this could be really, really interesting... Keep us posted.

Ok, now I wanna go to a dyno jet, lol
I don't think it will dyno higher though....the owner of the dyno was getting frustrated due to everyone complaining about low#'s, so he took his car and went to several local dyno jets and came up with a calibration to get it close to what a dyno jet would read. I never really tripped because my race weight and mph were close to what the calcs were saying.
Anyway for those who care, you can go to the 1/4 results forum and do a search under my name and you can see my progression.
Last dyno was 469/421, the car went 11.36@124 in good air at about a 3600 race weight. I have to re-weigh the car, I did make some changes..,
Added, a Wolf mild steel, 6pt roll bar. Took off, front sway bar, backing from carpet and left the front passenger seat out durring the 124 mph run.
The car was put back together last March. It started trapping 120 last July.
I am a converted A4, so it has taken me some practice to get my times down and mph up.
Since I have had my car put back together with the current combo, it has dynoed on the same dyno the following,
460 < with stock injectors
467.x with SLP smooth Bellows and 30 lbs injectors.
469.x retune with 42lbs injectors
481.x mild retune with TR6's, new inline fuel pump, and lighter wheels.
My drive train consists of a, Spec 3 carbon/ceramic clutch, a billet flywheel, Custom 3 1/2' Aluminum DS w/ spicer U- joints, Moser 12 bolt w/ 4.10's 33 spline axels.
