Default Dyno Results: Cartek 2x and Patriot LS6 59cc Heads

First off, I gotta thank East Side Performance; they got my car finished in 4 working days. Thanks a million guys!!! Its rediculously fast...

Gunnar at Patriot also went far above and beyond the call of duty; I purchased my heads from a member here on the boards; he ordered a different set of heads from Patriot and never installed these. Gunnar took these after they were sitting on a shelf for 7 months in this guy's garage and totally freshened them up! Thanks Gunnar for the unsurpassed customer service.

SAE Corrected is 417.9/386.6.

UPDATE: The numbers went up 7.3whp non SAE when I fixed my cracked PCV valve that was held together with electrical tape "Yay GM quality inspection" 432.1whp! Will get graph up later. It was warmer out yesterday also, less ideal dyno conditions. Not sure what new SAE numbers are, but will ask East Side later on.

Funny, the airfilter (K&N) was REAL dirty. I took it out and they did one more pull, it got 2whp more w/ no filter at all lol, so that goes to show you how little of a difference an airfilter makes, AC Delco vs. K&N etc. I'll make a separate thread and post up the 2 dyno graphs later.. I still gotta get the non airfilter one printed.

Mods:

02 z28
Patriot LS6 Style 59cc Heads
Cartek 2x 224/228 113+0 .581/.588
Comp Camps Pushrods, stock length
BW Ported TB, Lid
Pacesetter LT w/ ORY, Magnaflow
March UD Pulley
TR55's and MSD Wires (apprx 95whp right there )

I've never felt speed like this before... now I need tires and a clutch :/

Great numbers... Glad you like the heads. Bo is is doing some extra work on mine. I should be up and running in a couple of weeks. Let me know what numbers you get from the track.

Another thanks to gunner for helping out with the heads. Very Very good customer service.

Nice gains Rescue Ranger. It's a great feeling to have a car that exceeds your expectations! As a side note, I noticed that the numbers in your signature are your actual dyno numbers. Back in October on a cool day, we got over 500 rwhp with my car when we looked at my actual dyno number. As much as I wanted to post the graph, I chose not to in order to keep from misleading the members on this board. I posted my SAE numbers in my signature because they're the best, most accurate way to compare results from dyno to dyno. You may want to consider doing the same.

Hey Pat

I totally agree.. I swear I'm not trying to inflate my ego by posting non-SAE numbers To be honest, until you posted I had no idea what SAE was so I looked it up, and you're definately right; it makes sense! I'll make the fix on the dyno-chart when I get home, I dont have access to my photobucket account from work (banned:personal storage/backup)

Thanks everyone for all your responses. Surprisingly my stock clutch is holding this power; my LS7 clutch setup has to wait a couple weeks until I can get back in the shop.

Don't worry, that clutch won't last much longer LOL. After that goes, you know what's next... everything, usuallystarting with the rear, then driveshaft, and back up to the tranny, then the clutch goes again

I agree. If we try to stay consistent it will help others get a better idea of what the different combos make.
