Default Updated MS3#'s EWP worth every penny!

The only Changes i made to the car was..........
- i cleaned the air filter
-added a meziere electric water pump with 160 stat
- did the coolant by pass on the tb.
it was a very noticable gain, enough to make me want to go re dyno...glad i did! Im stoked!
28hp/15tq gain!

I wonder how much of that was the dirty air filter? Also, different dynos could skew the results some, but I doubt it would be that much. Either way, nice numbers!

good deal, but the power comes on way late with the big *** bump stick! good to see the numbers are more realistic to the mods performed on the car! was this dyno'd @ XXX Motorsports?

it comes on quick enough
.... The rpms were it doesnt have alot of power is not were i start racing from either

I did this tonight at Adams automotive in C-view

Also ....
i tested a stock Tb...then one of my ported tb's....these were back to back runs..take 5 min cool down for the exchange of tb's....
if you factor the best run...its a 8hp/6tq gain :0 i was happy my work paid off...

i like how you proved the mass's wrong by dynoing a stellar number with the EWP. many say it is not worth a lick for the price. what is the life expectancy you think you will pull out of it? are EWP's rebuildable?

I have no idea how long it will last...but it is rebuildable, and has a 2 year warranty.
most awesome part about the thing besides it looking damn good, and not having the belt run the pump is that i can run the pump with the car off to cool it down fast!
This with my manual dual spal fans works great at cooling things
great for FL heat

Thanks for that, I've been tossing the idea back and forth on whether or not they are worth it. I'm starting to think they are.

Did you have the ported tb in your old numbers?

I wouldn't really compare numbers on 2 different dynos on different days, and I've seen a guy who had a dirt-caked air filter change it out for a brand new air filter and gain 20rwhp on the next pull at a dyno day.

The Meziere usually gains maybe 5hp at most. I did a back-to-back test with the Meziere and gained zero!

Here's the thread.

yes i had a ported tb in my other set up.
weather was almost identical to the other dyno session, and this dyno has been tested with several other semi local dynos with one car and they were all within 1 hp of eachother. so i believe its accurate .
The car makes very noticable power on the street. it idles smoother, goes threw the rpms smoother, and tachs up quicker.
Not sure why it didnt work out for you....but between those three little things i got a damn good gain, and its noticable driving the car.

LoL yeah i do have lots of time to think about setups here. But the K.B isnt really an option i prefer to keep my tranny in one piece.
The water pump will probably get added to the list though.
I bet the car really pulls hard now when you gonna put the nitrous back on it.

n20 today and tune friday
John has something figured out with the guys at efi live to make it were i can keep my strong n/a numbers and when you flip the switch for n20 the car instantly kicks to the n20 tune..i cant wait

if it all works out me and allen should be rollin to a vette show on sat to stir up some trouble

Glad to see I'm not the only one having luck with it I went from trapping 120.33 in -780 DA to still trapping 119.5 in +1800 DA with the only addition being the EWP.

tell us more about the flip switch. I was under the impression that we couldnt do this with the ls1's.
Also did what head gaskets did you use?

Its custom operating system #5 with efi live. Its not flipping between two differnt tunes like the duramax but it changes alot of parameters in the tune for nitrous. So you dont have to drive around with your car running rich and alot of timing pulled back anymore.

Only EFI live! I'm so glad I went EFI rather than HP Tuners. If I need something I just pick up the phone and call! But that is a whole other story!

We will have Hartattacks ride on the jug tomorrow and verify the waterpump results on the same dyno as the first pulls.
