Default max hp

What do you think is the maximum horsepower you can get out of an ls1 w/o changing heads and cam?

I've seen some signatures with dynos upwards of 360 with full bolt-ons on M6s.

A tad over 400bhp SAE Net.

That makes about 340rwhp SAE corrected on a Mustang Dyno and about 360rwhp SAE corrected on a Dynojet.

If you do !aircon, !powersteering & electric water pump you'll see a little more.

But in all honesty it's cheaper and easier to do some bolt ons and a cam, than try and go all out for a FULL bolt on setup.

Depends how much boost or nitrous you want to run...full bolt ons will probably get you about 400 crank hp maybe a little more (which is more like 340 at the wheels).

With a turbo, you can keep stock intake and exhaust manifolds along with stock heads and cam and still make upwards of 600 rwhp (if you know what you're doing).

Yeah but they don't mean ****.
I bet they are not Mustang Dyno numbers corrected to SAE.

I mean I could slap a stock Fbody on a dyno and **** about with all the options/controls and correctoin factors and dyno it in the wrong gear and probably be able to produce a number of over 400rwhp with a graph. But it would be meaningless.

That 373rwhp Fbody is producing no more HP than any other with the same setup.

MY 02 z28 with 5300 miles, slp lid, K&N, free ram air mod, factory manifolds, Y-pipe, & cats with dyno mouth exhaust made 331RWHP & 360RWTQ on a mustang dyno.
Ran 13.30 @ 110 2.32 60' on the factory 245 Goodyears spinning through 1st & 2nd.
I purchased the car in July of 2002 I dynoed & ran it at the track in November of 2002.

I now have another engine in my car factory LS1 with SLP lid, K&N, free ram air mod, Hooker headers, ORY, GMMG style cat back. Dynoed in July of 2006 352RWHP 364RWTQ on a dyno-jet.
12.76 @110 1.9 60' on Yokahama AVS ES100 275 40 ZR17
